Modest Movers…no show! I made arrangements for Modest Movers in Jasper, GA to unload our U Haul. I called to confirm a few days before our move from Florida. They attempted to contact me the day before our confirmed day but I was driving the entire day and was unable to talk or text. When I tried to find out when they would be arriving I was told that they had tried to contact me for several days (untrue because they would be in my phone!) They only called the day before. They did send me a text the scheduled morning telling me that it was my fault because I didn't tell them what time to arrive when we spoke. They never asked me what time but I had set everything up for morning.

DON’T DO IT DON’T DO IT. Just don’t. We’ve been scammed into paying double what we were first estimated to be, we’ve been lied to by one of their salesmen, and now our furniture is being said to be held for 1-10 or up to 21 days in their facility when we were originally told that it would arrive within 48 hours. Save yourself the trouble, the money, and the stress. If we could go back in time, we would.

Horrible communication and received items many days after the decided date. Also, had 3 missing items which we were unable to get reimbursed for and the insurance we were offered covered $12.

Do not waste your money on this… Do not waste your money on this company. The moving company quoted us 3x the initial amount after they showed up the day of. Modest mover is just a broker, despite calling them several times they were unwilling to help. Even if we would have only moved the smallest box, there was no way we could have ever reached the initial quote. And per contract you can’t cancel anymore on the day of without losing the deposit. It’s a lose lose, just avoid them from the beginning.

Dont do business with them I should have trust my instinct. This is a broker compsny and not responsible for any damages, delayed or unprofessionalism of the driver. They will contact unlicensed carrier and not issuung receipt and Bill of lading. I cant believed there are people like them abusing the kindness of others. May God forgive you especially Kevin of Van Corp and Laith the driver .
