WD OS5 more like OS0 Been happy using WD mycloud products for years, unfortunately now have a paperweight due to OS5 firmware update, cannot go back, and has been indexing everything for over two weeks now. running at max CPU,RAM. Drive no longer responsive, cannot access anything remotely or locally. WD only answer is to turn off indexing. This stops cloud access! Device is therefore no longer working as advertised. Why everything has to be indexed is beyond me. Files folders worked perfectly well. Someone needs to be fired at WD for this. I will never buy WD again and recommend everyone keeps well clear of these cowboys.

Worthless crap Completely useless product. A $130 drive that never worked in backup mode with my PC and worked with my MacBook Air precisely once and won't transfer files now regardless of what I do or what updates I download. For the time being my drag/drop non-cloud solution for critical files is a 7 year old $10 5GB Lexar drive from the checkout line at Staples that while slow at least can perform the basic function it's designed for on either PC or Mac platforms. Going to shop very carefully for other options.

Unpatriotic, but drives work fine Honestly I'm pretty upset that they don't offer military discount but they seem to have student and senior discounts. Just seems unpatriotic. I'll check in with Seagate I guess. I only gave 2 stars because my hard drives I have now work well (6TB 7200 Pro). Though my WD ex cloud ultra seems to have fan issues after 6 months. Contacted support who asked that I update the firmware. Didn't work.

Useless customer service I've been trying to get a replacement for my $400 Sandisk Extreme Pro drive that failed after only 5 months of use. It's been weeks and they've been useless. I keep telling the agents on chat how urgent it it is for my business and instead of sending me a replacement they keep pushing canned answers like "don't worry we will take care of you" and other BS. I am NEVER buying another Western Digital product, Sandisk or any other brand of theirs. They claim to cater to professionals but they're barely setup to handle amateurs.

Pathetic Ordered an external drive. Money taken immediately. Got an email a week later stating a refund had been issued as the item was out of stock. The drive is still showing available to buy on website. Went on online chat to ask why. Told that the system takes time to update !! Very poor for a company selling computer components to have a poor, not fit for purpose computer system. I won't be buying anything from WD again.
