I wonder why WD got such a low rating… I wonder why WD got such a low rating on TrustPilot. WD is actually reasonably priced for HDD. I bought one 8 TB rig and it has lasted me for 8 years. Still in good condition but gets heated quite easily.

Useless customer service I've been trying to get a replacement for my $400 Sandisk Extreme Pro drive that failed after only 5 months of use. It's been weeks and they've been useless. I keep telling the agents on chat how urgent it it is for my business and instead of sending me a replacement they keep pushing canned answers like "don't worry we will take care of you" and other BS. I am NEVER buying another Western Digital product, Sandisk or any other brand of theirs. They claim to cater to professionals but they're barely setup to handle amateurs.

I bought 2x new 10TB NAS HDD I bought 2x new 10TB NAS HDD. Tried installing in a Synology NAS enclosure. Something went wrong - was it Synology or WD or User fault?? Sent back under warranty to WD in Australia with crossed fingers. Just received 2x NEW HDD replacements. Friggin' amazing. Blown away by how fast and replacement policy. This is how HiTech companies should treat their customers :) Ill buy more in future knowing even though I'm not a fully qualified techno, I can get backup from these guys.

As a business owner I cannot comprehend… As a business owner I cannot comprehend how a backup product can be so unreliable. We've bought one after the other of WD thinking it was our mistakes only to realize these are just garbage products. Don't bother spending money on these, or you'll be writing a review warning others.

Worthless crap Completely useless product. A $130 drive that never worked in backup mode with my PC and worked with my MacBook Air precisely once and won't transfer files now regardless of what I do or what updates I download. For the time being my drag/drop non-cloud solution for critical files is a 7 year old $10 5GB Lexar drive from the checkout line at Staples that while slow at least can perform the basic function it's designed for on either PC or Mac platforms. Going to shop very carefully for other options.
