I am extremely satisfied with my … I am extremely satisfied with my experience with Tax Defense Partners and am thankful that I found out about them just in time to take care of my taxes. I needed to make sure that my taxes were filed correctly since I had issues with local tax attorneys in the past. TDP was over-achieving in every aspect and definitely knew what they were doing. I had trouble with the IRS and owed them a nice chunk of money but their team came to the rescue. They nearly erased my debt and saved me a great deal of money ... they dealt with the IRS on my behalf and I am beyond happy with the result. Thank you again for everything!

A waste of money. They never offered me the option of a resubmittal of past taxes. They never offered to count in my deductions being the fact that I was a subcontractor. Essentially they took my money and said this is what you owe. I do not recommend their services. I would recommend procuring the services of a decent accountant and going from there. You live and you learn and sometimes you lose money.

Heartfelt I did not get the outcome I wanted but I knew that they took my case to heart and did their best.

Scammed someone who really needed help On 6/18/2020 I contacted the company regarding a call received from the IRS. In 2019 when an employee committed all types of theft and fraud we found out about the taxes not being paid. I informed Eric T. about me trying to set up payments and getting the interest abated. They denied setting up payments and then months later I received a letter saying we defaulted on payments I contacted the IRS who stated we were paying and I told them we were not after going back and fourth with them Eric assured me that if I hired the company they would get the check fees dismissed and our payments would not be the $981 the IRS was asking for. I ended up hiring the company for $3,250 dollars. I had been reaching out to the company with no response and then on 7/30/2020 I received an email fromShelly M. stating that she would be handling the case. She stated that we had not paid our 2020 taxes which I know were paid and then I tried to contact the company for an update with no response on 8/17/2020 after sending a email she responded stating I had not paid 2nd quarter of 2020 after sending me information I provided her the amounts for 2nd quarter 2020 and asked if she had the right account. I sent her a photo of the payments and asked if I needed to send the bank statements with no response. Then I spoke with Eric who said Shelly was the owner and was on vacation so I had to wait until Monday to speak to her as she was requesting me to send documents that I thought come from the IRS. I called 8/24/2020 twice spoke with Eric who sent me to Shelly vm left a message and sent an with no response. On 8/25/2020 I received an email stating payments were reinstated in which I explained I never had payments to reinstate and that was the purpose of me hiring. I then called Shelly and explained why I hired them and the amount of $981 was to much as we are a small daycare facility and Eric stated that they would not be that much and the returned check fees would be taken off. Shelly said she need to call the IRS and would call me back, but instead of calling back or fixing her mistake sent an email telling me there was nothing that could be done unless I removed funds from my account or something else. In return I called with no answer requested the arbitration number owner number attorney number a call and refund of my money as they didn't do anything that was requested or asked nor what was in the contract.

Not impressed. Preparer had to review forms two and sometimes three times to identify all of the tax withheld. Tax withheld was my only control point to begin the process, but when that did not tie out, I found other problems They agreed to do the job for $5,500.00 but charged my credit card for $7,000.00. When I asked them to deduct the $3,000.00 fees paid them in FY 2015, they would not. Now I need to amend the return to rectify that situation. The earliest tax year they prepared required me to send IRS a payment of several hundred dollars. I was surprised to receive a refund of the amount paid with the explanation that the law did not allow them to collect overdue tax after a certain amount of time. I thought TDP should be aware of the time limitation. That should have initiated a refund from TDP to me, as the earliest period was the one that caused extra expense to me for IRS to provide the tax data that I had somehow lost. IRS did not receive one of the returns and TDP did follow up and brought it to my attention. The refund has been received. That was a good thing.
