I spent a lot of time choosing between… I spent a lot of time choosing between formation services. Ultimately I went with Northwest to start my LLC because although they don't look the cheapest, they are much cheaper in the second year. They don't explain this very well on their site, but if you look at how much other companies are renovating, you'll see that Northwest doesn't bother with hidden fees. Plus, their emphasis on customer privacy is nice because you don't have to list your home address.

THEIR FEES ARE LIES. I almost used Northwest Registered Agent to start my first LLC. It was only $39 "plus state fees," so I thought I could learn from seeing it done right. They listed the "state fees" as $520 for 5-day processing, $555 for 3-day, and $595 for 1-day. THAT'S THE LIE. The actual Massachusetts state fee is $520, and it's 1-day processing for everyone! Any extra above that is NOT a state fee, it's pure profit for Northwest Registered Agent to do nothing and just sit on your application for 3-5 extra days. Sure, ZenBusiness and others have the same scummy business nodel, but they don't LIE about what they're doing. LYING turns this from scummy to scammy. LYING means that I wouldn't trust any of their positive reviews, either.

Don't bother I was not impressed with their virtual office service, so I canceled it after just one month. It was WAY more of a hassle than I anticipated for my new small business. They take days to get back to you via email (or you can call and leave a voicemail because they never answer their phone), and my inquiries were never really answered to my satisfaction. The real kicker? After you cancel your service, they do indeed hold any documents you get in the mail after that hostage! You have to pay $50 to view them (the monthly office service is only $40). I've already updated my business address on all my registrations and submitted mail forwarding the day I ended service with them, so pretty disappointed.

Northwest Registered Agent Northwest Registered Agent, LLC has served me very well with my LLC for the past few years. Intelligent, efficient, courteous and professional. They cover all my needs, yearly follow-ups, emails when docs or payments are required with sane time margins and no unnecessary fuss. I really appreciate them! They are very good and give me great peace of mind.

So far, so good. So far, so good. Only been a client of theirs for 24 hours but I love how their staff are straight talking and gets the job done. It's a rarity these days then most companies allow their front-line staff to only communicate with customers via cut and pasted scripts. However, their Stageline system runs like a Windows 95 laptop (if any of you are old enough to remember having one of those!), its glitchy, it's buggy, and if this is a third party software provider, seriously, just get rid and put a new tender out. I spend more time seeing that buffering animation than I do actually a fully functioning page. Furthermore, I received an email stating they have uploaded my VO lease agreement - no such document has been uploaded. I also login and it goes back to the "Great work! You are one step closer to forming your company." page when the company is in the process of being formed, then it invites me to hire them as a RA - I've already hired them. It also tells me there are no services connected with my company despite having an email confirmation of all the services I have chosen. Great staff, poor IT.
