GBDo not do business with Prime Authors! Do not do business with Prime Authors! Searching the internet for a memoir publisher. I inadvertently contacted Prime Authors, Inc., believing it was Amazon’s Book Baby site. I spoke to Kevin Brown who, when asked if they were the Amazon company, said they market through Amazon. That’s technically true but didn’t answer my question. I got the “expiring discount” spiel and made a down payment of a “refundable” amount of $500 to hold the discounted rate. I later learned that I would not get physical books but they would provide editing, proofing, indexing and marketing of an e-book. This was not what I wanted, so I asked to drop out of their program. I got a sales pitch and finally we agreed to draft a binding contract to supply me with books and at a price competitive with Book Baby’s print-ready rate. Kevin actually produced a draft contract with all my requirements except it was attached to an email that stated I would owe $6490. In various conversations with Kevin (I was never assigned to an editing team) I have gotten estimates of cost ranging from $2,940 to 6,490. I got a huge run-around when I indicated that the contract, if negotiated, would only require me to pay a total of $1,000. I am certain they never intended to honor the contract.

GBSuccessful Venture I have found Prime Authors to be professional and respectful. They listen carefully to my requests and work to focus me in the direction of our goals. We are currently in the production stage of several things. Sometimes these things move slowly and one can get frustrated because we live in a "microwave" culture, but I'm certain that we will arrive at a successful finish.

GBRemarkable Book Editing and Marketing… Remarkable Book Editing and Marketing Services I recently had the pleasure of working with an outstanding team that has transformed my book and boosted its sales on Amazon. Their book editing and marketing services are truly exceptional. The editing process was meticulous. They corrected errors, improved clarity, and ensured consistency, turning my manuscript into a polished masterpiece. What sets them apart is their dedication to understanding the essence of my book. They preserved my unique voice and vision, making the editing process a breeze. Their marketing expertise was equally impressive. They created an eye-catching cover, optimized keywords, and promoted my book online. Thanks to their efforts, my book's visibility on Amazon increased dramatically, leading to a significant boost in sales.

GBVery poor company - no wonder they went out of business This company seems to have gone out of business leaving people hanging. We are lucky and got our kindle version and paperback out, but they did not finish the hardcopy (I did) and they never put it on the 4 or 5 other ebook sites I paid for. They said they sent in for the copyright, but I never received it and have now applied for it myself. 15 paperbacks and 10 hardbacks were included with my purchase but they never sent me any - I have paid separately for all copies I have received. We only got this far with them because I constantly stayed on them with calls, emails and badgering. We had someone else edit and I proofed because they were doing a very poor job and all of this took over 10 months when they said they could do the job in 3 months. We also went through 5 or 6 different guys "in charge" of our process. One, Noah, was fairly good and got more done than any other; the rest were terrible to work with because they did not communicate with us or get anything done. They constantly wanted us to spend more money and we just wanted what was already paid for.
