Dan.com doesn't fully authenticate ownership of the domain until the time of purchase so felt it was up in the air until the transaction was fully done Overall pretty good though and felt pretty safe through the whole process

They steal your domain name by deactivating your payment details (I know because the same payment details have been tied to multiple other domains and none of them had problem renewing). After they steal your domain, they try to charge you $1500+ to get it back, and as soon as you show interest they jack the price up to $3,500+ absolute scam and joke of a business model. No domain name is worth that much in 2024.
