GBScout flag pole The brass screw joint that I ordered from Gates was exactly what I wanted. The quality was great and the service was even better. I ordered the parts on Thursday and they were on my doorstep on Saturday afternoon. The only complaint I had about the screw joint is that when you order a part for a 1 1/4 " dowel rod it should fit a 1 1/4 " dowel rod; not require the shaving off of 1/8" of wood all the way around the dowel in order to make it fit.
