The app is horrible and lack of… The app is horrible and lack of internet browser portal is very bad, however the fees and the way the account functions is great. They REALLY need to fire their lead developer and CIO to make some decent advances on the app side. They seem like they really don't know what they're doing for the phone app. I understand it's not easy but you guys don't look serious at all because of this crappy app that won't update external account balances and sometimes approved or denied transactions won't even show up at all until a week after contacting support. Not to mention that half the time the card won't work on the internet and some countries' ATM's. My free credit union checking account in the USA at Navy Federal only charges 1% for foreign transactions and reimburses worldwide ATM fees up to $10 a month so honestly, Denizen, your offer is NOT that phenomenal. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE improve the app ASAP and give us an internet site for an online portal to access online banking through a web browser.

I closed my account after 3 months I closed my account after 3 months. Totally unreliable; security blocks as you move between countries that take 4 or so days to unblock; unreliable ledger; slow posting of deposits; and virtually absent customer service. For a card servicing a globa community they are so far off the mark they and Compass should be embarrassed.

They're Closing Down The service in the U.S. basically operated as a prepaid debit card with ACH functionality. Nothing fancy. Euro support is not supported unless you can provide a verified address in the EU/EEA. I did get notified a couple weeks ago that they're shutting down on December 17, 2019. I have until then to use and/or transfer out my balance or they'll write me a check for what is left in the account.

Denizen is great, hope to use for a long time! I found denizen through a friend of mine and it has been great! They ask for you to give your passport, SSN and EU Tax ID to get the whole account setup, which took about 10 mins. After I was approved, I received my debit in about 5 days. I deposited money into my account a few days later. Took about 3 days to show up, which was the same with my other bank. I used a transfer and ATM in Spain and no fees! This company seems great! I don’t know what the other review is really talking about? To me, they told me processing applications were slow and that’s ok, they are a new company and the CEO even called me with some questions I had. I like them!

Highly recommended for expats and travellers I've been using Denizen in lots of countries and currencies as I travel frequently. Having compared it to most other fintech cards I always find Denizen superior for the absence of hidden fees including no ATM cash withdrawal charges. This of course refers to a founding member pricing; other memberships may vary. HIGHLY recommended for expats and travellers.
