Rubbish security and full of scammers Just full of scammers. Then when my account was compromised, no-one let me know. They just shut it down. Lost my rep. lost my ads. And they could not tell me if my Google credentials had been compromised (log ins via Google).

Whats happening with this site,i live… Whats happening with this site,i live in Vic. preferences adjusted to my area BUT all the ads from interstate ,WHY ? I can not see the local ads,im not interested in interstate ads, because no one wants COD sale,I'm not going to pay upfront, therefore i only buy/sell locally..Fix the filter section gumtree.

The worst place to sell things When I sold my Elgato Video Capture to somebody on Monday 13th February 2023 I got scammed $357.50 from PSP*JustC/prodamus.io London GBR EUR 223.71 so I had to get the disputes team to contact the merchant to get my funds back for me. I would definitely recommend using eBay or Facebook Marketplace.

Sellng to scammers and other bad people Like others, I would give zero stars to Gumtree if I could. I'm paying for an expensive and ineffective ad that is a magnet to trolls and scammers. Gumtree posts lots platitudes about making it a safe site but no real protections are installed and it relies upon its users to police its site for the bad people. This is cheap and ineffective policy. How about Gumtree developing some smart tracking software that can identify these parasites and follow up with some criminal prosecutions. It cannot be too difficult. In the meantime, until it has better security and safety for users it will deteriorate into a trashy and untrusted site.
