She prepared my taxes expeditiously.She is friendly, thorough, highly knowledgeable, a pleasure to work with .Ms. Lopez also noticed an overpayment on my previous taxes done by a private preparer!? so I will be returning to her for a tax do over (amendment).. The IRS is who I’m not satisfied with because they block a lot of things I could filed for. NEVER USE R&G BRENNER UNLESS YOU'D LIKE TO GET SCAMMED. For SEVEN YEARS this accounting firm dragged its feet, obfuscated its efforts, and just plain gave me the longest runaround I've ever been a party to in my entire life. I used them to file my personal taxes in 2016, provided all the accompanying documents, and they omitted a crucial 1099 that resulted in a "substantial tax understatement penalty" that accrued interest until it totaled a penalty of $2,268. I emailed back and forth with Jerry Collett, a Senior Tax Preparer, with proof that he omitted what I provided him for YEARS until he finally ghosted me and I had to reach out to customer service only to be told they had a three-year warranty limit. I get it now, Jerry's job was to slow play me until I became ineligible even though it WAS THEIR ERROR. I had to pay the penalty they caused out of my own pocket. NEVER USE R&G BRENNER UNLESS YOU'D LIKE TO GET SCAMMED.

Taxes were rejected, poor follow up My husband and I owed taxes for the first time this past year so wanted to have a professional complete our taxes to ensure they were correct. The money owed was confirmed and it was vaguely explained why we owed, we paid for the piece of mind that the taxes were correct. We setup payment and it was accepted by the IRS. We then received notification from R&G that our taxes were rejected, without clear directions on any action we should take or what they would do to correct. I had to follow up a couple of times, googling for contacts. I received a response from a generic ‘do not reply’ email that they were resubmitting. We are still waiting, not sure to expect a confirmation or any further correspondences from R&G. We chose them because of the positive reviews but were disappointed by our experience. It seems they do well overall, just hope they don’t make any mistakes because they already have your money and apparently have no interest in clearly communicating or following up.
