Easy to apply for credit card Easy to apply for credit card, but difficult to see my current, up-to-date account balance because the system does not update my account as quickly as other banks. Usually other banks have post transactions within a few days, but Merrick will post in 5 days. Not a big complaint.

I had no credit but merrick took a… I had no credit but merrick took a chance on me and sent me a credit card...it's been smooth sailing since then. The card allowed me to reconstruct my credit and the periodic increases was always a welcome site. I get credit card offers all the time now but I prefer merrick bank.
