GBWhen Savings Acct Websites Go Out of Bounds for "Security" When the Savings website, named Milli Bank, showed how ridiculous they were, I couldn't believe that another one had been found, that I had joined, doing the same thing. This website being reviewed here, of LaurelRoad, I called and found out, sadly, that this is another site that requires ridiculous documents, before you can be their slave, and enter the site like before. "Papers Please" is what this is all about! So here's some advice...don't have anything happen to your phone, or to let there come a time, when you HAVE TO change your tel number, and ALSO be joined up with these few sites). I consider it a metaphor of trying to mix oil and water together, it won't work! lol...unless you work REALLY hard on it! What I wonder is why don't these Savings account websites, ask for this information at the beginning of a person first signing up?? But for all this crazy nonsense, I got to weed out a few Savings websites anyway. I was getting too many anyway. When the Milli Bank Saving acct website sent me a document, requiring me to hand over bank records, morgage forms, rent receits, phone records, utility bill, and copy of driving license (which if a copy of my license was all they needed, I would have been fine with that), then it's time to break off with that bank! When it comes to handing over personal documents, "Security" has overstepped it's bounds! So, one by one, I called all of my saving accounts, to see if I could get into all of my accounts to update my new telephone number (and to find out which of the rest of my Savings accounts, needed my first born child, I mean, all this documentation, JUST TO change a phone number. What gets me though (which I never recalled years ago, having this happen), is after signing in with your email and password, you have to complete one more step, before they let you in Ft Knox, and that is, they'll say they sent a code to your phone. And for me, having my old phone turned off (that's a whole nother story), that code that was sent, was no use to me. So either I have to send an email, or call (that was usually the only option), to get into my account again. I've transferred all my funds out of this site (laurel rood), and once that's complete, I can delete myself from that site. And I'm hoping, with this other site, Milli, after reading the "not so good" reviews on it, I'll be able to get my funds back from them. Everyone who is planning to join an online bank of some sort, ought to do, what I should of done. Look at the reviews on it, FIRST.

GBWorst experience with any bank so far I've had plenty of different banks throughout the years and this is hands-down the worst experience I've had with any of them. Online-only banks make sense. The speed of every transaction with this institution can be done faster by physical mail and you have to factor in just how frustrating this can be and how many issues this can lead to in your finances. I stopped using the account and it went into negative. I funded it and transferred out the remaining balance to my new bank. They flagged this activity and locked my account without notifying me - keeping over a thousand dollars of my money away from me without a rhyme or reason. The mobile app is on par for 2010. The support people are nice, but never have an idea how to help you. They earned their single star by actually awarding me the sign-up bonus. That's all they're good for. Trash.

GBWe used Laurel Road to purchase our… We used Laurel Road to purchase our home using a physician loan. Overall the process was ok but I think unnecessarily stressful towards the end. We didn’t get the Clear to Close until 2 days before closing. It seems like a lot of the things holding up the process could have been anticipated. On the bright side they were responsive and I got a good internet rate.
