Worst bank/ credit union ever! Worst bank/ credit union ever! Will move numbers around so you can seem to be negative just so they can charge you an overdraft fee. Even though you go and deposit funds before days end.

There are better… My opinion and personal experience is that RBFCU, about 12 yrs ago, was a well run credit union. It’s since become a low-rate, substandard bank where you’re no longer a person who they actually benefit from having as a customer who deposits funds, but a number that they now consider a nuisance when you call for help with an issue involving THEIR services. However, putting aside that their ATM at the 6475 Baywater Dr location was out of service/out of money today and that they affiliate with 3rd party entities who’s credit card rewards services are inconsistent at best (“We cannot access uChoose Rewards. Please contact us at 888-999-4355.”), I expect to receive a response that tries to apologize and put me at ease about my sentiments for RBFCU - perhaps, an AI driven response? Don’t bother. It’s almost insulting and a waste of time. Anyway, I have my money and my confidence with a different credit union and I’ve witnessed the difference between the two.

AVOID AT ALL COST! I started a personal loan with this company. I sent them multiple pieces of income verification, and every time they were asked for a new verification source when I’ve given them all information that I had up-to-date they still denied me. I made a call with the associate about how long I had to get this information into them and was told 60 days the application closed within 30 days. When asked to hear the messages they would deny me and said I need to subpoena them, this bank has not tried to work with me at all, even though the information they’re asking for, is very easily shown through their records, if somebody would actually take the time and look, but they never even compiled information together until the very last minute when I was asking them about this absolute garbage of a bank don’t waste your time don’t waste your energy. When you ask for help, they get snarky on the phone they put you on hold forever garbage I will be closing my account as though my little money matters to them. I doubt it but for my personal sense of well-being I can’t deal with this stress any longer with this bank .

Disappointment My name is Silvino Pires, I’ve been a member of RBFCU for more than 10 years, and I currently have 4 accounts at this bank. I USUALLY keep a MINIMUM balance of $10k among my accounts. I also have a master credit card from this bank and a personal line of credit. I also move over $330k a year thru my business. Well, I want to say that my rates with either the credit card and credit line are the worst possible going from 11% and up. I’ve tried loans with RBFCU and have been declined a few times. When I was approved, the rate was a rip off. Some of these loans have been approved by other institutions such as Capital One, Ally, GM Financial, and Credit Human for a much lower rate than my own bank. A couple of times RBFCU have put me in very inconvenient and embarrassing situations. This time was the worst: a former partner, which I had a joint account in this bank in the past, made a transfer of $7k to my account (same bank transfer) on Saturday April 20th, and the RBFCU put a hold on the money for a few days. On April 22nd I realized they also froze all my accounts and cards that I and my employees use to run my business. I had to stop all operations because my employees had no way to run without the money. I went to the branch and I also called the fraud department unsuccessfully because there was nothing they could do about it. They told me that my friend who made the transfer had to call in and release the deposit he made. This took him another extra couple of hours on hold (terrible and inefficient fraude department service). Most of my business day was compromised. Finally after my ex-partner talked to them they released my accounts but guess what? They pulled the money ($7000) back to my friends account. This morning I called my friend, and told him I didn’t get the money. He transferred the money again to my account, and the bank put another hold on my money. For me, This seems like a joke. They must be playing a game with me. I find it extremely ridiculous to put a hold on a legit transaction between two members in the same bank, and freezing all my account and cards is way out of boundaries. There’s no reasonable explanation for a bank to do that. It’s irresponsible, offensive, insulting, financially harmful, and injurious. I have called the bank fraud department today, and requested that the person in charge calls me and give me an explanation of how The bank is protecting me freezing all my accounts. Explain to me what freezing all my accounts and cards, have to do with a “suspicious“ deposit. I’ll definitely post here their reasonable response if It’s a reasonable one.

This bank literally hates you This bank literally hates you. Your money isn't yours, your cards aren't yours. They will lie to your face. Feign polite ignorance, Misrepresent your problems. They're basically scum bags on the level of a politician or lawyer. I explicitly told them not to replace some cards, they did it anyways sending me scrambling to the bank to get rent money. The fact that these people will do the precise opposite of what you tell them to do, smile while doing it, and say "Eff off that's your problem" is insane. I will be paying off my credit card and moving to a new bank.
