Where almost all carriers are requiring paper applications and quotes to be hand-rated by underwriters, Honeycomb is one of the few carriers that still offers an online rating & issue system. The best part of Honeycomb is the… The best part of Honeycomb is the pricing, which is highly competitive: just over half what other insurance firms bid. Second is the claims process which was swift and very professional and responsive. The only downside in our experience is underwriting, which was easy at first, but the specific details of our condo building were at variance with the generic form used to bind our policy. It wasn't clear during that part of the process how our 3 car garage detached from our building would get coverage, and a couple other details took multiple revisions and added binders. It still isn't perfectly accurate to match our buildings but on the renewal process we'll get those.ironed out I'm sure.
