GBTrupanion has save us $1000’s Trupanion has save us thousands of dollars as our three mini dachshunds entered into their senior years. One had back surgery. A $12000 bill only cost me $1200. You can have Trupanion pay the vet directly to avoid paying the $12000 up front. Just let them know upfront and don’t let your plan expire or miss a monthly premium payment. We’ve had them for over 15 years now. They will cover dental procedures as long as your vet doesn’t have any dental issues in their record before coverage starts.

CATrupanion has a great and easy sign up… Trupanion has a great and easy sign up process. They explain everything clearly and I feel confident that my dog Douglas will be taken care of in the evident of an injury or illness. This was an easy decision to make to enroll with this company for their transparency and amazing customer service. Having peace of mind lets me focus my energy and enjoy every minute with my furbaby!

GBthis company is a scam I have been a loyal member of trupanion for many years, with no claims. I finally submitted my first claim the other day, which was promptly denied. It was a dental cleaning, but they had to go in and treat some issues for my cats teeth and trim back his gums. I was upset, so I called to cancel. The agent was incredibly kind and said she thought this claim should actually be covered due to the additional treatment, so I should have my vet write a note that this was above and beyond a regular dental, and they had to treat some dental disease. I took the time to do this and put off cancelling. Weeks bypass by and crickets. I think they got the memo I wanted to cancel so held out as long as they could. I finally heard today- they won’t cover any of it. This company is a scam. Looking at the other reviews now I see I was wrong to put my faith in this company. Additionally, the claims process is complicated and annoying. Do not use trupanion. I wish I could give zero stars.

GBPointless waste of money Pointless waste of money. We are trying to figure out what is wrong with my dog. They blame everything on "pre existing condition" from when she was literally a puppy and we were having issues potty training her. There is ONE note in her vet file about this. So now any tests, and ER visits when she reacted badly to antibiotics, are referred to as pr existing conditions. My other dog had a minor bill and that also was still out of pocket as part of a deductible. I did the math and it is simply smarter for me to put $120 in savings every month instead of trupanion. I will never, EVER trust them. I need to get that same dog allergy tests, and I'm confident they will twist that into "pre existing conditions" because I didn't enroll her until she was 1. What a scam.

GBGreat support in a rough period My animals have been largely healthy, but we've had a rough patch lately. Our older dog was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma earlier this year, and our younger dog had major jaw issues requiring surgery. We've been through radiation treatment, chemo, amputation, and a jaw surgery in the last 3 months. I've submitted over $28k in claims this year alone (another $5k in 2022). Trupanion paid it all, in a timely manner (minus deductibles, coinsurance, and non-covered exam fees and taxes). I will absolutely continue to keep Trupanion insurance on all of my animals. I couldn't appreciate them more when things get tough. It was nice to be able to navigate this difficult period knowing cost was not an issue, the animals received the highest quality of care they could get. I recommend them to everyone.
