We wish to thank everyone at Trupanion… We wish to thank everyone at Trupanion for the kindness & patience we received during our dog Finnegan's illness. We were hoping never having to use our policy. You came through when we needed you. Aside from the claims being paid out quickly & without a hassle, I was struck by the level of compassion exhibited by your truly remarkable staff. We will be forever grateful for this treatment during one of the most difficult times of our lives. We still have another dog with a Trupanion policy & will certainly keep coming back to you in the future.

Despite having a healthy dog with no… Despite having a healthy dog with no preexisting health issues my policy went up from $35 a month to over $80 a month in the span of three years. There was no explanation given to me about the cost increase except that I live in a major city (nothing to do with my dog in particular). Company clearly states that it will not increase premiums based on pets birthday and yet that’s exactly what they did. I felt very manipulated and canceled the policy.

Very grateful to still have my Best Girl Very grateful to still have my 14 year old Mini American Sheperd! She is the goodest girl, and needed her spleen removed. I would never have been able to afford all the vet visits and ultrasounds without Trupanion. I have it for all 3 of my dogs, and yes, it was more expensive for an older dog. But 100% worth it! They covered 90% of the costs outside my deductible, and at times the reimbursement was direct deposited into my bank faster than the vet bill hit it!

I have called twice requesting that a… I have called twice requesting that a claim form be sent to Santa Fe Animal Hospital and one sent to me and neither of us have received this.

this company is a scam I have been a loyal member of trupanion for many years, with no claims. I finally submitted my first claim the other day, which was promptly denied. It was a dental cleaning, but they had to go in and treat some issues for my cats teeth and trim back his gums. I was upset, so I called to cancel. The agent was incredibly kind and said she thought this claim should actually be covered due to the additional treatment, so I should have my vet write a note that this was above and beyond a regular dental, and they had to treat some dental disease. I took the time to do this and put off cancelling. Weeks bypass by and crickets. I think they got the memo I wanted to cancel so held out as long as they could. I finally heard today- they won’t cover any of it. This company is a scam. Looking at the other reviews now I see I was wrong to put my faith in this company. Additionally, the claims process is complicated and annoying. Do not use trupanion. I wish I could give zero stars.
