GBGreat people, very fair premiums, easy sign-up process A friend had recommended Trupanion for our 2-year-old Australian shepherd. Signing up was a truly positive experience. Our sales specialist, J Holaka, made it all much easier than I had anticipated. He gave me clear and concise explanations for all my questions. He was friendly and not at all overbearing. I came away with a truly positive impression of the company and look forward to dealing with the folks there for many years to come.

GB10 years of service with no regrets My dog has been a member since he was three; he's now 14. After one hospitalization, I learned my lesson and signed up for a policy. When the unfortunate times came when I needed help, their customer service was kind and efficient. I never felt like I had to battle for coverage. I feel secure knowing that if my dog needs help, I have the resources to give it to him, and that means the world to us.

GBDespite having a healthy dog with no… Despite having a healthy dog with no preexisting health issues my policy went up from $35 a month to over $80 a month in the span of three years. There was no explanation given to me about the cost increase except that I live in a major city (nothing to do with my dog in particular). Company clearly states that it will not increase premiums based on pets birthday and yet that’s exactly what they did. I felt very manipulated and canceled the policy.

GBPointless waste of money Pointless waste of money. We are trying to figure out what is wrong with my dog. They blame everything on "pre existing condition" from when she was literally a puppy and we were having issues potty training her. There is ONE note in her vet file about this. So now any tests, and ER visits when she reacted badly to antibiotics, are referred to as pr existing conditions. My other dog had a minor bill and that also was still out of pocket as part of a deductible. I did the math and it is simply smarter for me to put $120 in savings every month instead of trupanion. I will never, EVER trust them. I need to get that same dog allergy tests, and I'm confident they will twist that into "pre existing conditions" because I didn't enroll her until she was 1. What a scam.
