ARAmazing customer support and very good coverage for digital nomads. The customer support is simply the best. The claims process is also quite alright. They handle it thru a 3rd party partner - WorldTrips - so the clunkiness is not SafetyWing's issue, but as far as I know since November 2023 already SafetyWing handle everything themselves, and it's much easier and faster to claim and receive a refund. Would definitely recommend. Been using them for almost a year of traveling thru South America, had a couple of situations where I needed medical attention from a doctor and all expenses, for about a $1000 combined, were refunded without an issue.

PLMy experience with SafetyWing has been not great My experience with SafetyWing has unfortunately eroded the trust I initially had in their services. I submitted a medical claim (Claim ID CINV10012966) on February 16, 2024, and have been left without any updates or reimbursement for over two months now. Despite reaching out multiple times, the lack of communication and transparency is unacceptable and not in line with the professional standards expected from a reputed insurance provider. Claims are not just numbers; they are people's wellbeing and peace of mind. As customers, we enter into an agreement with SafetyWing with the expectation of support when needed. The prolonged silence and inaction on my claim is a serious concern and reflects poorly on SafetyWing's commitment to its clients.

GBGreat travel insurance run by real people I used my travel insurance benefit while in the US and it was a straightforward process that minimized the stress in a difficult situation. The team at SafetyWing is also great at connecting with other like-minded travelers and everyone I've ever interacted with has been friendly, helpful, and passionate about what they do.

NOThe claim was approved after appeal I had an accident with my motorcycle, and first Safetywing rejected my claim because I could not prove I was wearing a helmet. They kept asking for a rescue report that did not exist. This caused me much anxiety and stress. Even sending a picture of my damaged helmet did not help. But then on appeal the decision was overturned, and I received the money for the claim a couple of days later. I must confess I did not expect them to overturn the decision, and I was very surprised the claim was approved. This restores some of my faith in Safetywing, and I will probably use them again on my next travel.

BRGreat until you need to make a claim Everything is great until you need to make a claim. Claims are done in a different, clunkier platform, and take months to be processed. I made a claim but forgot to add the document for one of the expenses, instead of asking for it they simply closed it and didn't pay the total amount. I tried making an appeal explaining what happened and they simply rejected it saying it was a duplicate claim. Tried adding additional documents to the original claim and I got no feedback. Still trying to get paid after 3 months.
