GBCoverage verified The true measure of insurance is what happens when you make a claim. My wife had an injury when she fell while skiing in Japan. Filing the claim was easy. Two months later we received a check for our total medical bills minus the $250 deductible. This was the third time we purchased a Safetywing policy and we will continue to use them for every international trip we take. ------------------------------------------------------ PS: I had an issue with my bank when I tried to deposit the check from Safetywing, which was resolved.

AUBEWARE !!! BEWARE !!! Don't fall for their electronics lost luggage or electronics theft policies/ add-ons. They are misleading and in turn very bureaucratic. Making it near impossible with many hoops to jump through to lodge a claim. Be very careful, I would hope that the health benefits would outweigh their options of add-ons. I think it's fair to suggest the add-ons are a scam. I would recommend other travel insurance options and from your own country of residence. Not a global conglomerate. Unfortunately, my choice to use Safety Wing was influenced by a YouTube video that was sponsored. It all seemed great. I acknowledge my poor judgement. Please don't be fooled. Hope this review helps.

JOnot recommended They are again unprofessional when it comes to evaluating your claim. I have an eye inflection, which needs to remove the infected cyst. All the documents are submitted. Instead, they said this is for correction-eyesight-related surgery. I am stunned by their manner of evaluating medical claims. not recommended.

ILBest travel insurance you can get I've been insured with SW for over 4 years now while traveling around the world. The customer service is always willing to answer every question (even the irrelevant ones :D) and they're very fast! Together with the new complaint approval system, it's suddenly a joy to deal with my insurance! certainly never expected that.

BRNot the worst, not the best It's a bit complicated to submit claims, and the direct billing is not guaranteed. Had to pay for a surgery since they couldn't do the direct billing and that wasn't the best experience. The reimbursement will come, but you can't count on that money.
