Not the worst, not the best It's a bit complicated to submit claims, and the direct billing is not guaranteed. Had to pay for a surgery since they couldn't do the direct billing and that wasn't the best experience. The reimbursement will come, but you can't count on that money.

Great until you need to make a claim Everything is great until you need to make a claim. Claims are done in a different, clunkier platform, and take months to be processed. I made a claim but forgot to add the document for one of the expenses, instead of asking for it they simply closed it and didn't pay the total amount. I tried making an appeal explaining what happened and they simply rejected it saying it was a duplicate claim. Tried adding additional documents to the original claim and I got no feedback. Still trying to get paid after 3 months.

Claims are not just numbers; they are people's wellbeing and peace of mind. As customers, we enter into an agreement with SafetyWing with the expectation of support when needed. The prolonged silence and inaction on my claim is a serious concern and reflects poorly on SafetyWing's commitment to its clients.
