Trustworthy and Professional I have been with Universal Property and Casualty since buying my condo in 2007. I am a UK resident and the condo is my holiday home. Since that time I have only had to make one claim and that was for our Condo Association assessment to replace roofs following hurricane storm damage after Matthew and Irma. I found Universal to be professional, efficient, friendly and understanding. I was kept fully informed of progress at all times and the claim was settled in full within a few months. Good service that I would highly recommend.

I was in the market for some home … I was in the market for some home owners insurance in the earlier part of this year.. During my web search I discovered Universal Property.. Am living with a very limited financial budget, I spoke with a few different representatives..I was transferred to another, I was greed with a great representative by the name of Pamela Sanchez.. She worked on my policy like it was her own.. She was able to create a plan for my budget.. If you in market for home insurance with affordable prices for , give this company a try..

Absolutely horrible experience with… Absolutely horrible experience with this company. I am a year into a claim with no resolution. My home had a roof leak with mold damage. A year later, our family remains in this home as the insurance company fails to send needed documentation to my mortgage company. I have never experienced such poor communication. My next step in dealing with this is contacting an attorney. Do NOT use this company.

Hate this company!! Hate this company!!! Made my life a nightmare for over 6 years for nothing. Could have settled my claim... instead gave me the run around, I hired lawyers, my hone was burned but fixable, went to trial and won!!! Too bad the home has been torn down by the city, my mortgage went into foreclosure and I literally moved 15 times, sometimes living in a storage unit. Shame on them!!!! I purchased my policy from a licensed agent, I know nothing about insurance and they had the nerve to tell me to read the fine print. Karma.

THE AGGRAVATION FOR THE REASON OF YOUR CLAIM IS NOT AS BAD AS DEALING WITH UNIVERSAL PROPERTY AND CASUALTY INSURANCE!!! I had a flooding at the end of August this year. They said a check was cut on September 7th. I am still waiting for it. Three months without kitchen cabinets, and the unit below totally thrashed is not as bad as dealing with this company which will bring a substantial amount of aggravation during the process that will make think that your incident it was not that bad after all. Terrible communications, procrastinators, (they even sent the adjuster exactly 7 days after the incident! I could have had everything fixed in 7 days!). I owned my first property at 21, I am 65, I have dealt with several insurance companies during 44 yrs., this is one of the worse I ever seen. The BBB publishes 153 reviews (154 with mine). NONE IS GOOD. NOT A SINGLE ONE. THE HAVE A ROCK SOLID 1 (one ) STAR....that's telling you something.
