GBWill never use Universal insurance… Will never use Universal insurance again after a major storm event and losing power my sump pump broke and lost everything in my basement. first they tell me im covered and then deny my claim after i have already had servpro come out to help thinking i am covered... so now not only am i out everything in my basement plus the repairs needed i have a bill from servpro that i cant pay thanks Universal.... You pay for insurance and when you actually need it guess what DENIED... They are here to take your money and when you need them deny... If you are thinking of using this company do yourself a favor and dont do it.

GBAdayshia Adayshia, the rep I spoke with on phone, solved my problem in record time without transferring me or losing me. Their App, of course, was as worthless as all the customer service Apps I waste time on before calling, but I only gave it a chance because it was too early to call. The info it gave was confusing (I'm a math. physicist), disturbing, and wrong. Just call. Calling shortly after they open seems to be a good strategy to avoid waiting.

GBTrustworthy and Professional I have been with Universal Property and Casualty since buying my condo in 2007. I am a UK resident and the condo is my holiday home. Since that time I have only had to make one claim and that was for our Condo Association assessment to replace roofs following hurricane storm damage after Matthew and Irma. I found Universal to be professional, efficient, friendly and understanding. I was kept fully informed of progress at all times and the claim was settled in full within a few months. Good service that I would highly recommend.

GBif i could give 0 stars i would if i could give 0 stars i would. My mom had to open a claim for my elderly grandfather in 2020 due to major leak in the roof which caused the ceiling in the room to cave in. A year ago i had to replace the roof with my own money because waiting for them wasn't going to make anything better. We are now in 2022 and the claim is still OPEN. You call, they take forever to answer and when they do answer they say they will have someone call you back and they do NOT. I emailed the universal attorney that is working on this case with the power of attorney and also my grandmothers death certificate and they have yet to reply. As an insurance agent myself this is probably one of the WORST home insurance companies to insure your home with. STAY WAY !!

GBYesterday made a year I have been out… Yesterday made a year I have been out of my home due to Hurricane Michael. The UPC cut us a check for for living expenses in the amount of 4,000 in which on PCB they were charging us 1300 a week! Needless to say they are refusing to give us the policy amount to fix home instead offered us 30,000 when that's less than 68,000 that their adjuster suggested. I never knew it would be this hard to get something you've paid for years and to just get back home! I hate this company will will continue to tell my story. FIND SOMEONE ELSE NOW!
