Approval amounts and interest way off from quotes The phone reps are nice when talking to hem but very misleading. They tell you that you are approved for the full amount and tell you to fill out paperwork before they go further. Luckily I don't sign things until I know all of the details. Requested 8k for debt consolidation they counter with 3 and a 34% interest rate. That is is a bit ridiculous. My credit isn't the best due to high credit card balances but that is it I have been on time with my payments. Underwriters have the capabilities to bypass certain things and in my case that wasn't even considered. These lending companies are looking to make bank off your interest the best thing you can do Is go to a credit union and get the personal loan they won't gouge you on interest and will take care of you

Interest rates I have been with spring leaf now for several years and have never missed a payment. I have taken several loans, but they are still only offering a 35% interest rate. I seriously doubt if I take any more loans with them. My income is well over 100k a year, but I receive no incentive to take anymore loans with them.

Great Customer Service Representative I filled out my application online & called in for my approval. Spoke with Carlos & scheduled my appointment. The following day I went to the Springleaf office to go over the loan. Everyone there was friendly, but Carlos was more than I expected.
