Absolute criminals Absolute criminals, they charge you a “convenience” fee on top of your rent, a $100 fee for “inspection” at move out. If the place isn’t clean to their liking they charge you $350. When we moved into our old place, it was absolutely destroyed by the prior tenants. Split spot claimed it was cleaned before us. When we arrived, it was just being cleaned. Our move in time was also delayed about 6 hours due to their negligence. Avoid them at all costs. Use a realtor

Split spots is terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE Split spots is terrible! From the beginning they had TERRIBLE customer service. The unit my roomates and I moved into looked nothing like in the pictures. They would change locks, and send people in the unit. When other tenants or another individual would be send from split spots to do a service they would knock once and if they got no answer they would proceed to open the door with there own key. This would happen often and even when we’re not there. I had to hide some of my personal belongings because I was afraid it would get stolen in “my own home,” as a girl I had to lock my own bedroom door, and take other safety precautions just in case split spot workers would come uninvited. Whenever we would have an issue it would take months for it to be looked at and when it was looked at it probably wouldn’t be fixed. There was an insect and rat infestation which ruined my furniture and clothes. Ofc we informed split spot about this and they did nothing about it. Whenever we wanted to go in contact with split sports it would take days to even get a response. My roomates and I got tired of the situation, refused to pay for the last couple rents or utilities and got out of there as soon as we could. There were 3 people living in our unit ( including me) and utilities cost each person over 250$ a month. I have been living in Boston apt and I have never spent that much on gas and electricity. Utilities was basically 1/3 of my rent for a trash place. Split spots did send us several emails after telling us to pay our fees but quickly stopped when we told threatened them with legal charges for there unmaintained and hazardous units.

Satisfied with the Service I have been living in the Splitspot places for over two years. Though there had been some problems throughout this time, I am mostly satisfied with their service. I could reach Splitspot people through email, and usually the problems that I faced got solved soon.

NEVER Rent with SplitSpot Have never had customer service as poor as this before. Never received keys to the building, lock boxes were empty and no codes had even been provided. 6 weeks with broken AC during two 95 degree heatwaves in Boston and after 3 weeks all they did was reset the breaker, AC was never even fixed, I was just moved out. Was then charged for full utilities even with the broken AC, $75 out of my security deposit just to review the property even after photos of empty clean room were provided? Tours of the apartment with no notice given, and we were only informed of any visits after they would have come.

There's a reason why splitspot is under 3 stars. Don't learn it the hard way. I've been with them for more than a year. They were fine before, but honestly, as of late, 90% of my headaches come from them. Terrible at getting back to you. Terrible at efficiently fixing problems. Their voice machine is broken. They won't fulfil their obligations with utilities - literally they forgot to pay for the wifi. Everyday I pray I don't get a Split Spot related problem. Don't be surprised if problems come up on their end and you have to deal with it. Some customer service reps are okay, but be careful if you talk more or ask too much about your problems because they have no qualms blocking you. Unprofessional in my opinon.
