GBOverall experience Overall, I think Splitspot works well if you are persistent with issues. However, the initial quality of the service is not the best. When I first arrived to my apartment, a lot of appliances were broken and some electricity outlets not working. The cleaning service that they offer is very poor as well. I don't really feel a difference when the cleaning crew comes prior to a new roommate move-in. But, as mentioned, they finally solve problems after being patient and persistent.

GBNightmare What a nightmare!!! The worst rental company anyone could come across, pretty much you have no one to talk to because their phone line never works and you can’t even leave a message. The emails are pointless it's like talking to a brick wall. I Moved to ( 9 Mount Pleasant St ) From pictures that don't represent the actual house, the apt was filthy, rodent infestation which is left to deal with by yourself, It wasn't livable space, I requested to my money back and 4 Weeks later I am still waiting for a responds.

GBHorrible management of Property Horrible management of properties. They are unresponsive to emails, and you never know when they might decide to drop the property, giving you a quick turn around on trying to find a new place. If you’re in it for a short term lease, just sublet. Yes, there leases are illegal. Usually unsigned by them. I never received lead law documents that were required by law in Massachusetts. They’ll keep your security deposit for a cleaning service, which is an absolute joke because I had the pleasure of sticking around the place after I had moved out because my friend was still a tenant, and they threw water on the floor and tracked mud everywhere. Truly the most horrendous experience ever. Never again.

GBNon-reaponsive waste of time I attempted to use splitspot to find a room in Boston and they were non reaponsive, did not connect me with any of the apartments, and did not follow up on any of my questions. This prevented me from contacting any of the potential rooms making this platform useless. I ended up having to use another platform. I also know another potential customer who after multiple email exchanges was left in the same spot. This may work for some people but you have to be lucky I would go elsewhere.

IENEVER Rent with SplitSpot Have never had customer service as poor as this before. Never received keys to the building, lock boxes were empty and no codes had even been provided. 6 weeks with broken AC during two 95 degree heatwaves in Boston and after 3 weeks all they did was reset the breaker, AC was never even fixed, I was just moved out. Was then charged for full utilities even with the broken AC, $75 out of my security deposit just to review the property even after photos of empty clean room were provided? Tours of the apartment with no notice given, and we were only informed of any visits after they would have come.
