GBWon’t book again The cabin it’s self was big and clean. But there was a few things that were not working like the cable Tv we had no tv all weekend. We had bought food to cook over the weekend the oven was not working and as soon as I turned it on it, it started to smoke the room, i thought it was going to catch on fire. Once the trip was over I wrote an email to then Christina, and she responded to me right away and was able to get me a compensation for those issues. Even though I did receive a compensation, I don’t think I would book again with big bear vacations to many inconveniences. Big bear vacations should make sure each every appliance in the cabin is working before renting it out. That is why I only gave it 2 stars.

GBI got electrocuted from an exposed wire… I got electrocuted from an exposed wire for the radio/stereo. Both mornings we all woke up to deafening construction noises. The machine noises continued throughout the morning. Wanted to go on vacation to rest and relax but that was not at all the way that it went. Wanted tovplan several trips throughout this winter especially with the coming rain/snow this week but may have to consider looking elsewhere

GBReally poor experience around New Year's Waited more than hour just to get keys, and found out then that the property wasn't even ready yet. This was at 5:30 pm when check-in was supposed to be 4 pm. We didn't finally get in to the property until 6:30 pm. The dinner voucher provided didn't compensate for one of our two nights of vacation being so frustrating. The property itself was also lacking in things like paper towels, salt and pepper, enough towels and laundry detergent for more than two loads. There just want a thoughtful touch at all. Their policies surrounding check in and check out (10 am!) were ridiculous as well. You have to drive your own garbage to a dumpster or you get charged $25 a bag. It was the longest rental agreement I've ever had to sign.

GBHorrible experience Horrible experience! None of the kitchen appliances were in working condition and unfortunately I did not find this out until after I bought a couple hundred dollars worth of groceries. The floors are so slippery that you will fall several times and hurt yourself. Several of us were bruised up and I myself could not move for a couple days after hitting the ground so hard. There are cobwebs everywhere and the beds are cheap and uncomfortable. The master bedroom is good size yet it has a queen bed that feels like it’s 20+ years old. I wish that I had something positive to say about the home I was in as well as the company big bear vacations, but unfortunately there’s nothing but negative words to say. They are not accommodating and are only interested in your money. Stay away at all costs. If it looks too good to be true, it most definitely is.

GBThe Cozy Cottage we rented was in a… The Cozy Cottage we rented was in a fabulous location next to the Snow Summit ski area with lots of snow play surrounding the house. That was the reason we rented the property. The house itself was large enough for all 10 of us. However, there were lots of problems with the house itself. The cleaning staff needs to be changed as there were dirty socks in the downstairs bed indicating the linens had not been changed. The handle on the sink in the bathroom was broken making it hard to use. A space heater has to be brought in for the bedroom without a heater vent. There was a white pill of some kind on the bedroom floor indicating the floor had not been vacuumed. Shower was corroded. Water dribbled out. Kitchen tabletop was not attached to the base and kept falling off.
