Unresponsive, filthy and overpriced Unresponsive and the rates are too high. We paid way to much for cleaning and the places was filthy. Visible hair and dirt on the hard furniture. The upstairs bed was like a ROCK. I tried numerous times to email Big Bear vacations and noone ever responded to make it right. I will never book with them again.

House needs attention The house was large, and the location was great. But the fence had fallen down in one area, making it hard to contain the kids. The hot tub hadn't been serviced, and response time was slow to get to us. The yard had trash and clothing in it, so hadn't been maintained. There were mice in the kitchen and in the walls, there were ants all over the kitchen and dining areas. The worst part was glass in the green of the pool table - my child got glass shards in her hand and we had to visit the ER to remove them. Even worse, the management company never arrived after we called them to clean it up.

The unit we stayed in was unsafe The unit we stayed in was unsafe. We were unable to use the fireplace without smoke filling the unit. This was even after calling the office and someone coming out to inspect the flute and ventilate the unit. (We also did their one log slow start to warm up the chimney they suggested over phone). The heat worked in the bedrooms but the main living area and kitchen got really chilly without the ability to use the fireplace not to mention the health risk to us and our 6 month old with smoke/ carbon monoxide filling the condo. When we got home everything we owned smelled like a camp fire. This should be addressed before renting this unit to anyone. Pros: proximity to village, clean, two nice size bedrooms on different levels for nice privacy, nice large hot tub with easy access from indoors. Decent for price if they figure out the fireplace issue. Cons: fireplace unsafe (cold in main living area without it), one small bathroom with small shower, lots of stairs (split level), uneven flooring in kitchen and bathroom.

Pluses and minuses + Good location + Well stocked kitchen + Spacious + High but reasonable cost compared to others - Less than clean (mostly dusty & cobwebs) - Spiders (one between the bed sheets) - Torn carpet = trip hazard - Furnace cycled on & off every few minutes. A programmable thermostat would easily fix that annoyance. - 4pm check-in, 10am checkout with fee for checking out even one minute late -- so you get 2-3/4 days for the price of 3 days - 15-page agreement (leaving no liability/responsibility for management & owner)

Bad Service Was not allowed into cabin several hours because was not clean/ready. Snow was not cleared off walkway or back area was dangerous to get into cabin. We were not allowed to park in garage as well so having to walk through snow to get into cabin was not good or safe was black ice.
