I've rarely needed customer service but every time I have you dial the number and start chatting with a person who can help you. No menu dial, although I think they only recently changed that but its only a short menu, then a human. The staff has always been very helpful, kind and knowledgable. Simple application process and someone will always answer any questions. I recommend to everyone I know who needs a good lender. Each time I've refinanced I have had very different needs and I have always had a range of options available to suit my needs.
