GBHad an incredible experience Had an incredible experience! I was kept well informed during the process. My rep got me THE best deal! I was amazed at what our interest rate ended up being and the loan credits we received! We will absolutely be using Union Plus Mortgage for our future home needs

GBSold mortgage to known predatory lender… Sold mortgage to known predatory lender less than six months after getting our mortgage. Great process all the way through until they sold our mortgage to a know predatory lender. We did not miss any payments or had any other negagtive credit actions. Now we have to pay fees when making a payment online, by check, or by phone. No explanation as to why, no response to inquires or follow-ups. Might be union owned but they don't have the Union sense of fellowship and doing what is right. Buyer beware

GBEverything went well for the most part Everything went well for the most part. I wasn't promised a gift card like I see many people were for a refinance. I am an AFGE member and that's the main reason I chose Union Plus for my refi. I think Michael and Meredith were mostly helpful and responsive. Meredith did seem short at times in the beginning. The online processing and docu sign system was great and having a notary/paralegal (not sure which) come to my home for the closing was awesome. I am pleased so far with the process. I contacted 2 other companies about a refinance prior to Union Plus and Union Plus was the most responsive and had the best interest rate.

GBEasy refinance experience Michael and Meredith were great. I was able to refinance completely contactless, but with great email communication every step of the way. I'm happy to be able to have union hardship protection for my mortgage should I ever need it. I've put off refinancing for along time, because I didnt really understand what was involved or if I would have to come out of pocket to do it (i didnt) and UPMC made it easy to get my questions answered and the process completed.

GBAs a first time home buyer As a first time home buyer, I felt like a lot of information came to me late. The team was very nice, but it was two weeks after I was in contract that I received an email introducing me to the team of four (two people were completely new to me) and at the end of the process I was required to take a ReadyNest test which would have been more appropriate at the beginning. As a company that deals with Union members who have irregular paychecks, the team did not seem to be prepared for the multiple w2s and 1099s. I'm not sure if it was a lack of experience that made the mortgage commitment process feel so slow, but I had hoped that I would be guided through the process more clearly and efficiently. Everyone was very nice.
