CAComputer glitch remedied! A computer glitch caused my donation to be processed twice. I immediately contacted GoFundMe and Eleanor had the second charge reversed in a matter of minutes.

GBSetting up a GoFundMe for a Palestinian… Setting up a GoFundMe for a Palestinian family of three currently trapped and literally starving in Gaza (Rafah). After initial setup, receive message from GFM that my account is 'under review' pending my response to 'urgent' questions re the goals of my fundraiser. People can still contribute but I will not get any of these contributions until this 'urgent' review is resolved. I answer the long list of questions immediately, then hear nothing from GFM. Meanwhile people contribute to the site, but I never see any of the money and am thus unable to forward help to my friend's family in Gaza. Guess GFM Team is not starving and thus can take their time.

GBTransfers are always paused for no reason!! Sadly, i took the risk of collecting funds for individuals amidst the war in Gaza to support families losing homes and loved ones. Once the funds started collecting, thank fully i started transferring straight away. Just like everyone else has stated they simply hold funds and pause transfers, which completely defeats the object of a fundraiser, no matter how many documents and info you provide. Its sad really, please dont start a fundraiser with them, there are plenty others to start a fund with. Many advised me not to go ahead with gofundme, but i took the risk and learnt my lesson. Hoping to retrieve the remaining funds or refund them all then close this down and open it up with another. Gofundme also take a cut from every donation FYI!!!! UPDATE: Responded back to gofundme via the email they provided, and still no response!

GBDon't do it! Out of $60 they are only giving $38.54 to my charity. This is outragious! I have set up a personal account for my charity now where 100% will go to it. I wish I would've read the reviews before starting this.

ESI donated £100 to a 'Ugandan… I donated £100 to a 'Ugandan orphanage', I became suspicious after them (the 'orphanage') contacting me directly through social media. I tried to contact the organiser of the fundraiser to find out some further information who apparently is US based but they haven't replied?. The man who contacted me from the 'Orphanage' was asking me to share the go fund me link and had multiple different named social media sites, he was also sending images and videos from the 'Orphanage' which was odd . I asked for documentation to see its a registered NGO so I could be confident in helping further via gofundme. I since realise the documentation he provided is fake, I complained to Gofundme and they have not checked the 'orphanage' out, its still raising money despite almost certainly being fake, I have not been 'covered' despite the wonderful advertisements of being fully covered on the Gofund me website and I have received no moneyback as guaranteed and the reply from Go Fund me support was very unprofessional. I will never trust this site again. Do not believe your money is 'guaranteed' it IS NOT. They are not tackling or even have any interest in the fact the fundraiser is FAKE and I gave proof. No interest whatsoever. I'm sure the media would have a field day if they knew this sort of thing was happening and judging by the comments...its happening regularly
