Transfers are always paused for no reason!! Sadly, i took the risk of collecting funds for individuals amidst the war in Gaza to support families losing homes and loved ones. Once the funds started collecting, thank fully i started transferring straight away. Just like everyone else has stated they simply hold funds and pause transfers, which completely defeats the object of a fundraiser, no matter how many documents and info you provide. Its sad really, please dont start a fundraiser with them, there are plenty others to start a fund with. Many advised me not to go ahead with gofundme, but i took the risk and learnt my lesson. Hoping to retrieve the remaining funds or refund them all then close this down and open it up with another. Gofundme also take a cut from every donation FYI!!!! UPDATE: Responded back to gofundme via the email they provided, and still no response!

Live Agent vs. Agency Bot The live agent "Brittney" was clear and concise in her understanding of my situation and had the information to complete my request as well as providing the reason for the actions. The agency Bot was not going to be a viable tool for my situation. Should I encounter a point and click situation then I will be sure to use the Bot.

Transfers paused for nearly a month with no idea how to retrieve funds!! I set up a fundraising page on behalf of my two daughters who along with their youth clubs choose a cause each year to raise money for. The account was set up nearly a month ago with transfers paused, I completed all forms and was told to expect 5-7 days. No response other than ‘we will escalate to our compliance team’ meanwhile we continue to receive donations. There are no humans only chat bots, my daughters are heartbroken that this money is not being sent to the babies we are raising money for, not to mention the stress I feel for accepting peoples donations only for the funds to be sat there doing nothing. I am having sleepless nights because of this, how can I face all the people who have donated in good faith, I wish I had never used GFM for our fundraiser. Their service falls way below my expectations for a company trying to help unite donors with a just cause. I would advise to AVOID at all costs.

Stolen our money It has been 2 months now and go fund me has all of the money our children have raised as a fundraiser.We cannot get them to release the money. There is no customer service and I am not convinced they are actually a real company.They have a few thousand pounds and I do not think we will ever see the cash our kids have worked really hard to raise money for a charity in Africa.It’s a disgrace

Absolutely shocking customer service Absolutely shocking customer service. There was an error in my donation that meant I transferred much too much money - go fund me say they will happily refund a mistaken donation. So I put in the request, contacting them over and over agani - despite being told I'd get a reply in 24 hours, I heard nothing. After 4 days I managed to speak to a live chat human not a robot. They promised to escalate and get back to me by the end of the day, I have still heard nothing 48 hours later. I am now in serious financial dire straits, and the poor fundraisers themselves have heard nothing. How can anyone trust making a donation through go fund me when they behave like this? I have never been so disappointed with any company. I will return here with an update to see if they do ANYTHING. But at the moment all they seem to do is take money for nothing. Awful -do not trust them at all.
