Failure to Pick Up or Communicate Despite receiving a text reminder that my scheduled pick up was yesterday, pick up never happened. A neighbor’s was not picked up either. Although their phone message says to use the app to ensure a prompt response, that has not happened. I left 2 messages in the app and one on the phone asking when pick up would take place and if I should leave my pail at the curb. I have more compost in the house awaiting a new pail. Although still a new customer, I had been pleased, but must say that customer support is lacking. I finally heard back. As a small company with short staff, several drivers called in sick. Understandable! She agreed that they need to take steps to better communicate should something like this happen again. I look forward to those improvements as composting is so important.

Easy AND Important! Couldn’t ask for an easier way to move forward on a path towards an environmentally friendly and sustainable home. We have less than one bag of trash a week now and it is never stinky! It is such a great feeling to know that all of our food waste is going back into the ground in a nourishing way, rather than being trapped in a landfill and contributing to atmospheric methane levels. Wonderful company and service. Highly recommend. We signed up initially for bi-monthly pick ups and paid a year in advance, but it didn’t take long to realize this vegan family of 5 needed the weekly option. I messaged them and they let me pay the difference to make it happen. My interactions with the delivery/pickup driver were always brief, but pleasant. They’re doing great work and I’m happy with the service they have provided me.

Key City Compost has gone above and… Key City Compost has gone above and beyond to make sure I am able to compost, which is super cool! If I forget to put my bucket out, they'll leave an additional one for me anyway. Once, during a move, they even followed me to my new home to pick up my compost after I'd forgotten to adjust the address! Key City is the greatest and Frederick is incredibly lucky to have a program like this! Thank you for all that you do!
