GBPrompt service, easy to review claims Our rescue puppy has had quite a few issues the first 6 months of his life, and we have luckily had PetFirst to help us pay for his care. Once your claims have been processed, you can log into your account online, where you can review your claims and reimbursement. If a claim is denied, they explain in detail why the charge is not covered by insurance. Overall, PetFirst is very easy to use and makes vet care for sick animals much easier to afford.

GBDon't waste your money! I'm not happy with their lack of coverage. My recently rescued cats both came down with tapeworms and then Giardia. Both claims were denied!!! Apparently they consider those preventable conditions, even though they'd been dewormed by the rescue. Since when is Giardia preventable? $800 in vet bills and medicine and they approved only $168 for ear infection. Don't waste your money!

GBMetLife Pet insurance is Horrible!!! I have had MetLife pet insurance for almost a year and I have yet to receive a dime from them. It is always something. They need additional information. The app isn’t working. Not able to upload my documents. The network is down….blah, blah, blah….oh now we closed your claim. Now after dealing with all this 10 months after I left my nationwide pet policy they are asking me for a declarations page from Nationwide. Why wasn’t this handled when I signed up for the MetLife Policy. I asked if they needed anything else from me. Also my claims have been open for months, than they will send an email and close the claim within 5 days if you don’t supply whatever additional documents they need. So I am suppose to check my email everyday? This is a scam. I am not even making a claim for anything major. Literally a vet visit/vaccination. I can’t imagine dealing with them when there is actually an emergency. I know so many people that have Lemonade pet insurance and love it! No problems. Btw…I never write reviews. Good or bad. This is how horrible this pet insurance is.

GBPet First is absolutely terrible Pet First is absolutely terrible. I have had to talk to 5 different people because their communication within their office is poor. I explained it 5 times that I rescued my dog from a woman whose husband was abusive so there are no adoption paperwork. Stevie (my German Shepard) had to have surgery to get something removed to make sure that it wasn't cancer and they STILL have not helped pay this bill. I just got a "denied," email. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF HAVING INSURANCE!

GBReliable company My lab, Odie, has been insured with this company since 6 mos of age and he's now 9 yrs old. Now that Odie is older he's been little more prone to injuries and having PetFirst has alleviated lot of our vet bills which we are very thankful for. I've never had any issues with PetFirst and would recommend to anyone looking for a little of mind for their 4-legged family.
