GBI have twice purchased items on Mercari… I have twice purchased items on Mercari & I didn’t receive either one. The first time was many years ago & the seller immediately refunded me, admitting she had been unable to send the item. For my recent purchase, the seller is not responding & since it was over 4 days since the order was marked fulfilled by her, Mercari won’t help me. YOU ONLY FOUR DAYS!!

GBAll of the sudden I could not send a… All of the sudden I could not send a message or offer to a seller on an item I wanted. I didn't really care for that as I had not done anything wrong or inappropriate. I had made a comment on the boots that they needed new soles, even though the seller listed as in good condition. After a month + that comment was not approved. Today, when trying to make an offer I was informed I could not contact the seller or make comments. So I deleted my account in response. Good luck with your business model as it certainly put me off. Deleting your app and leaving this review. Stan Horstman in Norcal

GBMercari provided me with a duplicate label… I am a seller on Mercari and I shipped out a package with the label Mercari provided. Dropped off the package off to the post office Monday April 29, 2024. Waited 24 hours for the package to start tracking and it never did. I write out a personalized letters to everyone so I remembered the name of the person I sent the item to. Upon looking at the actual shipping label I discovered Mercari SENT ME A DUPLICATE LABEL from a previous order. I reached out to Mercari to ask for help and of course they couldn’t own up to their mistakes and said there was nothing they could do. I spent a majority of my morning calling the post office in a different state trying to intercept this package. I almost got scammed out of 36.00$ thanks to Mercari. Good job protecting me as a seller. 10/10 do not recommend using this platform to buy or sell

GBSeller beware! Seller beware!! I sold an authentic perfume which I have a receipt for proving it came from an authorized retailer. Upon receiving it the buyer claimed it was fake based only on it "not smelling right" and asked Mercari for a refund/return. Mercari said they were initiating a "review". There is no way to contact Mercari or add your side of the story to the review. Within a couple hours they ruled that the item was "not as listed" despite buyer images looking exactly like my listing images so clearly it was the same item I was advertising for sale. Mercari did not reach out to me for my evidence, side of the story, or proof of authenticity, which I would have happily provided. So the buyer is returning it after using some of it. I am out the cost of my packaging materials, and now have an item with less product in it that has been deemed inauthentic by Mercari despite being 100% legit. Glad it was an inexpensive item that I learned my lesson on.

GBFalse Advertising I purchased a necklace listed as an authentic Tiffany and Co. brand. In January of this year. It is now April and the silver on the necklace is tarnished. Because their policy is 15 days you have to make a complaint they can’t do anything about it at all. Not even investigate and message the seller about false advertising. A real Tiffany necklace will probably not tarnish at 15 days but did at 4 months. Ridiculous. I do not trust Mercari anymore as it appears there is no way for them to regulate the sellers items and advertising
