GBMercari's New Policy Sucks :)! I've had Mercari for a few months now. Purchased and sold. I'm quite honestly always on the app, looking for certain things to buy. I have only purchased one thing since the new policy because they are actually stealing from the users. Item was $50 and ended up paying $67. Shipping was only $3.99 of that cost. Outrageous fees are the norm that just randomly change. It's absolutely horrendous and a scummy platform. Use eBay or literally anything else at this point. It's not worth it until something changes.

GBGoodbye Mercari I've been using Mercari for years and am going to have to stop. You are trying to attract sellers but losing buyers with these new fees. A whole $15 on top of the purchase price and shipping??? This is not going to end well..

GBAuthentication Process is a JOKE! For the most part on average its a good app to sell. HOWEVER if you're looking to sell top designer, Mercari is NOT the place. I sent ALL receipts and pics of recently bought Gucci with tags and the y said is wasn't authentic with all proof of authenticity present, so I don't trust the site as much anymore cause I KNOW it was authentic. Mercurial proceeds to say don't try to list it again.

GBMercari frequently updates its… Mercari frequently updates its policies, such as adjusting shipping prices, and initially required sellers to manually update their listings to reflect these changes, which seemed questionable. Lately, Mercari has stopped charging sellers selling fees, instead shifting the cost to buyers. This change has made buyers less willing to pay for service fees on top of shipping and taxes, resulting in fewer sales. Additionally, Mercari now charges sellers a $2 fee for withdrawing any amount of balance, every.single. time, which is excessive!! When buyers stop making purchases on Mercari, sellers don't make sales, which means Mercari doesn't earn any revenue. Bad decision Mercari.

GBFalse Advertising I purchased a necklace listed as an authentic Tiffany and Co. brand. In January of this year. It is now April and the silver on the necklace is tarnished. Because their policy is 15 days you have to make a complaint they can’t do anything about it at all. Not even investigate and message the seller about false advertising. A real Tiffany necklace will probably not tarnish at 15 days but did at 4 months. Ridiculous. I do not trust Mercari anymore as it appears there is no way for them to regulate the sellers items and advertising
