GBMercari's New Policy Sucks :)! I've had Mercari for a few months now. Purchased and sold. I'm quite honestly always on the app, looking for certain things to buy. I have only purchased one thing since the new policy because they are actually stealing from the users. Item was $50 and ended up paying $67. Shipping was only $3.99 of that cost. Outrageous fees are the norm that just randomly change. It's absolutely horrendous and a scummy platform. Use eBay or literally anything else at this point. It's not worth it until something changes.

GBGoodbye Mercari I've been using Mercari for years and am going to have to stop. You are trying to attract sellers but losing buyers with these new fees. A whole $15 on top of the purchase price and shipping??? This is not going to end well..

GBAuthentication Process is a JOKE! For the most part on average its a good app to sell. HOWEVER if you're looking to sell top designer, Mercari is NOT the place. I sent ALL receipts and pics of recently bought Gucci with tags and the y said is wasn't authentic with all proof of authenticity present, so I don't trust the site as much anymore cause I KNOW it was authentic. Mercurial proceeds to say don't try to list it again.

GBFalse Advertising I purchased a necklace listed as an authentic Tiffany and Co. brand. In January of this year. It is now April and the silver on the necklace is tarnished. Because their policy is 15 days you have to make a complaint they can’t do anything about it at all. Not even investigate and message the seller about false advertising. A real Tiffany necklace will probably not tarnish at 15 days but did at 4 months. Ridiculous. I do not trust Mercari anymore as it appears there is no way for them to regulate the sellers items and advertising

GBThe online pawn shop with service and processing fees!!!!! Mercari use to be the best place to buy and save some money. This processing fees and service fees defeat the purpose of buying a used cheaper item. Today I wanted to buy an item that was $300 dollars because brand new in Amazon was $400 dollars, anyhow upon check out my total balance was $375 dollars. At this price I'm not saving anything might as well buy it new with warranty for almost the same price. I don't know who in their administration thought it was a good idea to shove all these fees to the buyer face when it use to be a thing for every seller a "service fee". which made sense. I'm glad there's other shopping platforms online for example ebay, offer up, poshmark, Amazon etc..., because Mercari is a thing from the past, and they did it all to themselves. It was fun while it lasted.
