GBTop-of-line, high-powered e-bike; with room for even greater innovation Pro's: Powerful and fast, sturdy and well-built (in USA) with high quality parts; good range and great hill-climbing ability; friendly, excellent and responsive service and back-up (Thanks, Jim!); 8 years and still running strong! Con's: can be unstable due to slightly high center of gravity (R15, especially if using range-extending 2nd battery off seat stem tube); gearing seems too low on my model, for my use and comfort, which makes it difficult to pedal (and work-out) when using power assist at faster speeds (a higher/wider gear range would add more versatility).

AUBest electric bike ever Best electric bike ever, love it , it’s 1st a real mountain bike, with proper suspension, it looks spaceage , reliable, yet it’s also the fastest and most powerful bike , that looks like a bike.

AUWell worth the investment Absolutely amazingly increadible product; everything I could hope for & more. Have had the bike for 5.5 years & it’s still running strong. It has saved me approximately $10K AUD per year in automotive costs (fuel, maintenance, parking etc.), & my drivers license is never in jeopardy. My OptiBike has paid for itself threefold so far. Would highly recommend this product to everyone. The OptiBike support & customer experience is sensational; you can buy with high confidence.

GBOptibike - High Performance eBikes Optibike - High Performance eBikes I bought my first Optibike (OB-1) in 2007 when I recognized that hub-motor eBikes do not work well on hilly terrain. Today I use one elite Optibike for commuting (22 miles RT) and another for off-road use (R15c). Both the machines and support team have been very solid and responsive. In summary, I have incredible respect and admiration for this entrepreneurial company. Christopher Pederson Las Vegas, NV

GBClose, but not quite Bought a used (previously returned) Optibike. It arrived at my house expertly packaged, but lacking sufficient assembly and instruction manuals to make things easy. Over time, I learned how the bike worked (Rohloff hub and proprietary motor/battery), but it never seemed “quite right” to me. Eventually, after quite a few tests and collaboration with Jim Turner (owner: Optibike), I decided to return it. I remain optimistic and enthusiastic about Optibike, yet disappointed this one didn’t work well for me.
