GBTerrible Management Company- Terrible Management Company- We are an owner of a property managed by Carolina Retreats and once Mike Harrington sold it the service/lack of service is terrible. Our vacationers are having terrible experience with poor cleaning, broken items, etc with no response. Their property maintenance claims to inspect after every rental and we hear from tenants about a ton of sand on the floors, broken items, etc. The maintenance company even glued a loose faucet to marble rather than get under the sink and tighten the nut. Real Shoemakers. My wife emailed Danny Williams and still no response. Stay away from these people.

GBShore Feels Good was perfect Everything was perfect at our vacation at Shore Feels Good! The house was clean and well stocked. Perfect location and walking distance to beach. Carolina Retreats was responsive to any of my questions. Can’t wait to go back.

GBGood Tide-ings This was an excellent property, the house was everything we expected. The single issue we had was reported on Sunday and even tho the property management company website says they are open on Sunday, we got no response until Monday, which was fine, not an urgent issue and was handled Monday perfectly. Would definitely rent this property again!

GBThe PERFECT Beach House at Oak Island!! This place is amazing and in the perfect location!! The room had great modern touches, very clean, and the bed was so comfortable!! The pool area was great and very clean as well!! We arrived early and the staff was so friendly and beyond accommodating to let us check-in!! We will be returning soon!! Book your stay at this little gem on Oak Island!! You will not be disappointed!!

GBRecently stayed at the property “Across… Recently stayed at the property “Across the Pond” in Surf City. The house was beautiful, great amenities and excellent location. However, Carolina Retreats was awful to deal with. They were slow to respond and made little to no attempt to resolve an issues we had. In talking with locals, we began to hear from others how poorly their properties are run. We paid additional to have the pool heated for the week and it only worked the afternoon of 2 of the 6 days. They refuse to refund any of the funds. The listing also listed a grill for use— there was no grill and in the end the only thing we got was a simple ‘sorry’ that was our mistake, not the owners. We will stick with renting from Ward.
