If I could give zero stars If I could give zero stars, I would. My family and I booked an apartment in NYC through VRBO. The pandemic hit and we had to postpone until September, 2021, which was fine. Two months before we were due to travel, we were told our reservation was canceled. We’ve been trying to get our money back since then, and have still not gotten it. It’s gotten to the point where our calls and e-mails are going unanswered. Horrible, horrible experience.

Searchastay and VRBO cancelled after we had flights booked and will not contact us to help! I booked a rental on VRBO via Searchstay in Rosemary Beach, FL and had flights booked. VRBO and Searchastay cancelled the reservation via email to me with ZERO explanation. There are NO other rentals available at this point - VRBO and Searchastay will not return my emails and have not called me back. Do not trust Searchastay. I received a BOOKING CONFIRMATION and had to agree to a NO CANCELLATION POLICY.

If I could give zero stars If I could give zero stars, I would. I reached out to them four times over a week regarding an upcoming rental. It wasn't until the fourth time that they finally responded, letting me know my reservation was being canceled. They also won't refund my payment despite multiple requests and are telling me to dispute the charge on PayPal to get my money back. The customer service is horrendous.

Awesome place Awesome place, excellent hotel and the fact you can use everything from the hotel is amazing. The bed is extremely comfortable, huge bathroom. The kitchen is very useful and nice to have! My husband could work and I could rest without interrupting each other because of the two separated spaces. Nice view, excellent location. Would definitely come back!

Searchastay is Not Fit for Long-Term Stays My roommates and I spent four months at a Searchastay location in New York. Though very fortunate for this housing opportunity, I honestly did not know if we were being housed until I received the keys. There was definitely a lack of communication on the company’s side. From a mice infestation, lack of heat, and a broken oven, a responsive landlord would have been nice. My roommates and I had to fix the majority of our issues on our own, fixing light fixtures and settling with no working oven for four months. If you are looking for a long-term stay, I would not recommend Searchastay, however short-term may suffice.
