About EF Educational Tours

At EF Educational Tours, nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our travelers. Find out more about our commitment to customers here. Who is EF, anyway? We’re known as a lot of things. The world leader in international education. An accredited institution. Travel buddies. Even magic makers. But most importantly, we’re the best partner when it comes to helping teachers show their students the world. Why? Because our itineraries are more than just places to go and things to see. We build programs that have challenged assumptions, sparked connections, and inspired curiosity within millions of students. We’re also always close by. Our global reach spans 114 countries—and not in the “I had a layover there once” kind of way. We understand the world because we live and work in more than half of it (and we’re more than happy to share that expertise with you). We empower educators to do their best work More specifically, we help teachers change their students’ lives through educational travel. We have the experience needed to make sure your trip is both immersive and educational, and we’ll support you before, during, and long after your tour. Let's get started For over 55 years, EF has helped people see new places, experience new cultures, and learn new things about the world and about themselves. EF Education First is a family owned and operated company, founded in 1965 with the mission of opening the world through education. As a result of our culturally immersive programs, over 15 million students have learned a language, discovered the world, or earned a degree with EF. Teachers are our people, literally: We employ close to 30,000 of them worldwide.

My daughter loved the tour guide Sally My daughter loved the tour guide Sally. She loved that everything was organized and on scheduled from the locations they visited to the transportation, hotels and the restaurant they ate at.

Costa Rica with Gustavo! I joined my daughter, her teacher, and other students on the Costa Rica trip. We LOVED it! It's a beautiful country and the locals were just lovely and very welcoming. The experiences we had were amazing and we learned SO much from our guide Gustavo. He was there every step of the way. We were very active on this trip - lots of challenging hiking, zip lining (it was awesome), and snorkeling/swimming. We saw and learned about so many birds and animals, and we hiked a volcano. It was surreal. The hotels and bus were comfortable. Our favorite hotel was the Buena Vista Lodge-the sunsets were breathtaking! Our only disappointment is that it was advertised as a week-long trip. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and our flights home were early morning the following Friday, so we felt like we were robbed of an entire day. We should have traveled home the following Saturday. We also had a very long layover (6 hours) between flights which was daunting, but we made the best of it as we had all bonded during this wonderful trip. I would absolutely recommend EF Tours, Gustavo, and Costa Rica. It's the most gorgeous place. Pura Vida!

The tour was educational and fun The tour was educational and fun. The tour guide was the best we've had in a long time. The aspects about the trip we didn't like was the hotel in Florence - dirty and it was filled with truck stop drivers. The food choices and quality for dinner was mediocre. The day we went to Rome to see the colosseum there was a large crowd to get through security, which took long time. This then rushed th Roman Forum and lunch so we could get to the Vatican on time. Maybe separate out these two area tours to different days during the busier months.

Middle School Italy trip My son had the beat time of his life on the Italy trip. Daily pictures updates with our kids were a plus. I felt safety of the children was a priority. Miss Martin and all the chaperones were amazing! Overall a great experience that I recommend ! We will definitely join EF tour in other trips if we have the opportunity.

Italy high school trip My daughter, Jordan, a sophomore at Burr and Burton High School in Vermont, went to Italy with about 30 of her classmates. Her experience with EF Tours was exceptional. Communicating with the parents helped us prepare her for the trip and feel comfortable with her abroad. I highly recommend them.
