About EF Educational Tours

At EF Educational Tours, nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our travelers. Find out more about our commitment to customers here. Who is EF, anyway? We’re known as a lot of things. The world leader in international education. An accredited institution. Travel buddies. Even magic makers. But most importantly, we’re the best partner when it comes to helping teachers show their students the world. Why? Because our itineraries are more than just places to go and things to see. We build programs that have challenged assumptions, sparked connections, and inspired curiosity within millions of students. We’re also always close by. Our global reach spans 114 countries—and not in the “I had a layover there once” kind of way. We understand the world because we live and work in more than half of it (and we’re more than happy to share that expertise with you). We empower educators to do their best work More specifically, we help teachers change their students’ lives through educational travel. We have the experience needed to make sure your trip is both immersive and educational, and we’ll support you before, during, and long after your tour. Let's get started For over 55 years, EF has helped people see new places, experience new cultures, and learn new things about the world and about themselves. EF Education First is a family owned and operated company, founded in 1965 with the mission of opening the world through education. As a result of our culturally immersive programs, over 15 million students have learned a language, discovered the world, or earned a degree with EF. Teachers are our people, literally: We employ close to 30,000 of them worldwide.

School trip went wrong We got to 2 bus accidents in one day in Paris. The tour guy was disrespectful. For dinner one day, we were fed pork; not everyone ate pork; therefore, I had to spend money to buy dinner. I asked for a vegetarian meal, but I was denied because I did fill out the form for vegetarian. So many things happened, which makes the trip unenjoyable. I felt like I waisted money for myself and my daughter

Japan was an amazing experience! Japan was an amazing experience for both myself and my daughter. EF tours packed a lot into our itinerary and we felt like we had a great sampling of what Japan has to offer and we both want to return one day to experience some of the sites we saw more in depth and to see new ones that time did not allow on this trip. Spring is a great time to visit and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom while we were there! Our tour director in Japan was full of great information, patient and kind. She worked hard to make sure we all had a wonderful trip and went above and beyond what was expected.

Wonderful experience for my son My son went on an EF Tours trip with his school and he had a blast! He's usually pretty reserved and quiet, but ended up making new friends and really enjoyed himself. He's going to college this Fall and will be majoring in History, so this trip was very exciting for him. They visited so many historical sites and tried so many new things. We would 100% recommend this trip!!

Our daughter came home from this trip… Our daughter came home from this trip and could not stop talking about her experience in Costa Rica. She spoke very highly of their tour guide and shared that he made a difference in the trip.

Caveat Emptor Our daughter enjoyed the itinerary and the country of Belize. However, the fact that we could not use a credit card to make payments as we had to initiate a bank draft of provide a debit card is ridiculous. Especially considering that the trip was greater than $4,000 and EF tours accepted our money for 2-years prior to the departure. Then the first flight departed at zero-dark-thirty from 110-miles from home when there is an airport 3-miles from home was also frustrating. Because we needed to arrive no later than 4am to the airport we opted for a $200 hotel room the prior night. We incurred a hotel night or leave would have had to leave the house @2am. Then a 6-hour layover, probably to save more money, really was upsetting. We were then told to provide $125/pp in cash tips for the guides just prior to departing for the trip which was also frustrating. So >$600/day for a vacation package from Expedia was far more reasonable for $1,253 versus ~$4,525 should make you think twice about this company and their super inflated travel packages.
