GBThink con-job. Encourage everyone to report to BBB. Think con-job. Thrives on deceptive marketing, having their company appear before the actual hotel direct booking link. My dad (im his 70s) booked a room through what he thought was The Comfort Inn (had the logo at the top of the page), where we've stayed for years, after checking out and being charged a $100.00 fee, he realized it was a third party and canceled immediately. Turns out you can cancel, but the cancelation is non-refundable.

GBIf you are reading this it’s hopefully not too late Website to book impersonating hotel site- no third party logo and hotel name in web address. Booking defaulted to the current date as I tried to confirm booking. Nightmare trying to get through to someone via telephone- robot not understanding ‘yes’ in standard English accent. Put through to customer services and was advised unable to refund and reschedule for correct date. When queried they hung up on me. Phone company informed me call had cost £10.
Bugsy
GBGetaroom.com Saved Me Money Getaroom.com has great customer service, which isn't easy to find these days. I originally had a issue that was mostly my fault for not paying attention to details, and they made it right. Ultimately saving me money overall which is the core of their business. If you're looking for the best rate for a room, explore all your options, including getaroom.com, and I'm sure you'll find the best deal available.

GBCustomer service is responsive I was unhappy when I realized this third party booking agency severely over charges for the room. They charged me $350 per night for a room that was $250 per night at the Marriott. Furthermore, when I clicked on the link to book, their website posed as the direct hotel, which I found confusing. When I tried to cancel that same day after mistakenly booking, they told me there is a no refund policy. I had to speak directly with the hotel and the customer service agents at the hotel so they would agree to refund the third party. I contacted the agency, GetARoom.com, and they were responsive to my concerns with being charged in full after they had been refunded by the hotel. They agreed to refund me a portion of the room charge to resolve the misunderstanding. While it wasn’t a full refund, I do appreciate that they responded quickly. If it had been a full refund, I certainly would have given a 5 star rating because that would have been the ultimate customer service:

GBSCAM They are a phishing organisation who somehow - so far - slipped through the US law despite class action law suits being filed against them. They masquerade as the hotel's website, making you believe that you book directly with the hotel. They do not show full prices before directing you to the card details page. They politely answer because they have prepared all the responses already when they set up their practices that should be illegal to start with. Upon contacting the hotel, the personnel told me they did not even receive my reservation nor any money. Getaroom's cancellation costs more that the room itself that they say are "processing fees" - I ask, what processing, when they did not even contact the hotel nor sent any money? Avoid this organisation at all cost and double check what address you book on, hotels would never direct you to this shady website.
