GBA massive waste of time Update to initial review: EVEN WORSE. Despite the message below from OnPay, I now (nearly three weeks later) just received ANOTHER two letters from the EDD about underpayments from Q3 of last year when OnPay was managing my payroll. I just wrapped another hour long phone call with the EDD trying to get this fixed. Honestly, it is a nightmare working with OnPay. Save yourself before you start! I used OnPay for nearly a year to payroll one part-time employee for my company and it was a complete disaster. They misfiled so many times that I was getting constant streams of bills from the EDD and now I have a credit with the EDD that it's going to take more than a quarter to get returned. Worse than that, I had to spend roughly 40 hours on the phone with OnPay customer support and the EDD to get it all worked out. All of this for one employee who worked a total of less than 200 hours in the whole year! It was a massive waste of my time and productivity. It would have been simpler to learn to do payroll myself. I switched to a new company in the fall and I couldn't be happier. Save yourself the time and the frustration.

GB*****New OnPay Client Review***** We are a six-month OnPay client and are happy with our decision. The most straightforward and user-friendly small business payroll/benefits platform we have used and we have worked with a few of them: (ADP, AmCheck, Paychex, QuickBooks, Wells Fargo, etc.). The helpdesk is timely and efficient and available by chat or phone.

GBNot worth the savings I previously wrote a glowing review for OnPay but after using them for a couple of years now I have to say, my rating has definitely changed. For some reason they did not process our unemployment reports. I brought this to their attention and now nearly 3 months later they have not fixed it. Have tried for a week to speak with a manager and that hasn't happened also.

GBFor this CPA OnPay has been a reliable "go to" solution. For this CPA, OnPay has been a reliable "go to" solution. My parents are older, and we have hired two care-givers to ensure their daily needs are well-supported. Ensuring they are paid legally, with all appropriate taxes paid out means that we need payroll help. I set up the entity and OnPay helps me do the rest. Not too expensive, just enough help & support, and very reliable. They have come through when preparing tax reports and filing quarterly'ies with both Federal and State.

GB8 weeks to get a Customer Service Response I received a notice that my 940 taxes were underpaid and were incurring penalties. I sent the notice to OnPay with no response. When I asked for an update on the ticket I was told it would be 8+ weeks before someone would respond to me. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told they would put in the "request" but couldn't guarantee that someone would call. If I had known how poor the customer service was at OnPay I would have gone elsewhere.
