Great agency - highly recommended. Outstanding organization that planned our visit in South Africa. All details were meticulously planned. The structure of the 2 week trip was very balanced so we had time to relax between visits. Excellent choice of lodges and restaurants. The driver/guide was safe, hospitable and knowledgeable and shared many experiences and information that helped us understand better the country and the history. When changes were needed everything was done for us very smoothly and we received excellent follow up each evening. In sum a perfect experience. Highly recommended.

Extraordinary Family African Journey There are not enough superlatives to describe the service, knowledge, and professionalism of Where It All Began. If you are looking for an organization who knows Africa inside and out and want to be hooked up with wonderful Safari reserves, tour guides and any other type of activity you desire, this is your Company. As well, we were contacted daily with updates and follow ups. Where it All Began did not let us down from the time we began planning this complicated 3 week trip for 6 individuals of varying ages which began five years ago and got stalled repeatedly due to COVID.

Quick help with travel changes South Africa is challenging for travelers. Philip was super-responsive to changes that occured, such as driver changes and restaurant rescheduling. Plus various questions we had during our travels. Also, the trips he suggested gave us an excellent idea of what living in Joburg or Cape Town is like, which is a main reason to visit new places.

The holiday in Cape Town's surrounding Country side. The holiday in Cape Town was wonderful. Phil had managed to understand our needs and booked everything to suit us - not a shop or any crowds of tourists! Phil had given us a local cellphone which gave us confidence where ever we were and contacted us every day to check we were alright and happy with our travels. The country side we saw was breath taking and great to see places off the beaten track. Perfect holiday Perfect holiday! Having stayed with Phil when he used to run Parker Cottage in Cape Town and receiving fantastic help and support there, we were keen to try out Where It All Began! We couldn't have been happier. I travel a lot with work and am pretty confident about moving around. What Phil offers however is fantastic properties which I would never have found.....a wonderful, quirky B&B in Swellendam where we ate the best meal we've ever had anywhere in the world, the most sumptious B&B in The Crags which rated as my husband's favourite place he has ever stayed....I could go on!! We would highly recommend Where It All Began - it will ensure you see the bits of the country you would never have otherwise found, all within budget and as others have said, delivered with a personal care and attention that's hard to match!
