Safe and imaginative hands We had a general idea as to how we wanted to spend 3 weeks in South Africa in February. Philip Rendel and his team not only made our plans a reality but booked us extraordinary accommodation, imaginative routes that took us to places we hadn’t even read about! A brilliant holiday Although we have visited South Africa many times, this was the first time we have used the services of Where It All Began. Their planning was exemplary and our queries were answered promptly and fully. The venues were just as we had expected and our holiday was enhanced by their services. The holiday notes provided were excellent; we have visited the Cape on many occasions in the past, and thought we knew our way around; but the notes led us to new places well worth visiting. Perfect holiday Perfect holiday! Having stayed with Phil when he used to run Parker Cottage in Cape Town and receiving fantastic help and support there, we were keen to try out Where It All Began! We couldn't have been happier. I travel a lot with work and am pretty confident about moving around. What Phil offers however is fantastic properties which I would never have found.....a wonderful, quirky B&B in Swellendam where we ate the best meal we've ever had anywhere in the world, the most sumptious B&B in The Crags which rated as my husband's favourite place he has ever stayed....I could go on!! We would highly recommend Where It All Began - it will ensure you see the bits of the country you would never have otherwise found, all within budget and as others have said, delivered with a personal care and attention that's hard to match! The holiday in Cape Town's surrounding Country side. The holiday in Cape Town was wonderful. Phil had managed to understand our needs and booked everything to suit us - not a shop or any crowds of tourists! Phil had given us a local cellphone which gave us confidence where ever we were and contacted us every day to check we were alright and happy with our travels. The country side we saw was breath taking and great to see places off the beaten track. Virtual personal travel guide , huge knowledge of SA created perfect bespoke holiday Phil worked with us and evolved a memorable holiday visiting special places ideally suited to our objectives. So many little things built huge confidence in the organisation. For example when we were met in Cape Town we were given a local cellphone , pre loaded with credit ( we had been told about the plan before we left ) . Everywhere we went Phil was just a call away if we wanted information , support or to alter plans. A bit like having a virtual guide travelling with us.I am sure that Where it All Began can create a perfect bespoke holiday to suit YOUR quirks too.
