Paradise isn’t always tropical! Winter in Alaska? YES! Classic Journey’s did all of the work including off the charts accommodations, fantastic adventures (think—helicopter landing on a glacier and walking through an ice tube), and most importantly the best guide on earth! Absolutely fabulous vacation! Absolutely fabulous vacation bc of the amazing guides we had and awesome locations & restaurants they knew where to take us to. The hotels were gorgeous, private, spacious and centrally located too. Everyone we met in the hotels & throughout the vacation was extremely friendly & helpful. We went as a family of 6 and will always be grateful for the everything we learned and all of the wonderful memories we made together. I cannot say enough good things! A wondersul getaway A wondersul getaway, with gorgeous surroundings, great food, and the most educational trip I've had in many years of hiking tours. The weather even cooperated, with rain when were indoors and pleasant weather when hiking. Our guide, Bart, was fabulous with both academic and local knowledge. And the truffle farm experience was exceptional, even learning how truffle dogs are trained. A great trip...

Well organized, informative trips by Classic Journeys This was our second Classic Journeys trip. They excel at being well organized and taking seamless care of all the details that people take organized trips for -- ie. hotel reservations, bus and plane transport,meals, guides, entry fees, etc. We have had excellent guides that enhanced our trip experience. Not so active, but they really provide good basis for cultural and historical learning.
