Good value-some attractions could make life easier Nothing bad to say about the pass- we used for five great attractions (upgrading one with Circle Line). Most were straightforward from the CityPass site (Empire State, Intrepid, Top of the Rock' which was logical and straightforward to use. The AMNH and Circle Line needed to be done via their own sites, but as long as you read this up before it was not too difficult. The AMNH included special exhibitions and the planetarium.

Very convenient Purchase was smooth and easy, booking time slots in advance online etc using the passes was also smooth and easy other than the egregiously long ticket number that must be entered to book stuff. It was super convenient to use as the destinations had a special queue for citypass holders and they just scan your ticket and done. For us, we essentially didn't have to queue at all. Overall a good and convenient way to enjoy tourist attractions, and save some money too.

Chicago CityPass This was a great, discounted way to visit many of the area attractions, and even jump some lines! Two wishes- 1) that CityPass would give the average time spent at each attraction so as to allot enough time (for example- we didn't give the Museum of Science and Industry near enough time, and rather "wasted" the ticket) and 2) an electronic way of redeeming tickets. The fear of losing the booklet makes you a little parampnoid, since you can't get a new booklet. This may have been remedied by now. Overall, great experience!

Excellent experience with citypass Despite the fact I was always asked if I had booked prior to getting into the venues, the process was smooth and literally the barcode was just scanned and we were in. Fortunately, I didn't book any of the attractions as I went out of season and this wasn't necessary. We didn't get to go to the zoo as this is quite far out of the city and we ran out of time. We did do the other 4 attractions though and really enjoyed them all. Not sure how much each individual attraction cost but I think citypass is very reasonable.

City pass not worth the savings if something goes wrong We were disappointed that the city pass is not covered by the same assurances as if you buy directly from the provider. I would say that the money you save through the city pass is not worth the lack of customer care of something goes wrong. Having a city pass feels like you fall through the cracks.
