GBPrice quoted was not the price I was charged. Charged more at the airport than shown on my statement from American Rental. I didn't have time to argue with the agent at Budget so I accepted the increase rather then wind up with no car. Wound up paying more then if I had booked directly with Budget. I will never use American Car Rental again.

GBTotal ripoff by American car rental Reserved car on there website and purchased their insurance on the same website. When i picked up the car (cabo San Lucas airport) they said the insurance was not acceptable and proceeded to charge me another $300.00 for another insurance policy. And gave me an old worn out car! GBScam artists EDIT TO ADD... even tho they responded and claimed they would reach out to me to resolve, they never have! Wow. Booked a car, arrived exactly on time. Was told they were sold out. Called customer service and were told that they couldn’t get us another car but as a courtesy they’d issue us a refund. Lol. The real kicker is that they kept our money and after 3 weeks still never issued it. Unless you’d like to be stranded at an airport at 10:30 on a Friday night and have to pay $560 for a last minute weekend rental, STAY AWAY FROM THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY!!

AUSo easy & great to book with! So easy & great to book with! Trying to book and organise travel over the internet from as far away as Australia isn't easy. However, booking with Americacarrental.com is the exception. The web site is clear, easy to follow instructions and a breeze to book and pay for car rentals. Thanks and I can't wait for our epic holiday!
