GBManagement of Rewards Points Sucks Liked: Best Western Plus motels rooms and breakfast Disliked: Best Western Rewards Program management. It is difficult to check status and rewards points totals are not given. I realize they have MBA's and possibly PhD's trying to minimize the points. I cannot see when points expire, or my total points. I just had a good experience with IHG Group (Hilton) rewards program and will favor them in the future. Staybridge Suites and Hotels.com is earning my business. I recently got 2 free nights! I quit using Marriott because they seemed to have closed most restaurants and rewards points policies are too one-sided.

GBTerrible Experience Reserved a suite. The room had a refrigerator but no microwave. Front desk clerk had to find one. We had to sleep in a cold room because the heater didn't work. We were unable to use the telephone in room because it didn't work. The TV didn't work. On top of that unable to change rooms because there were none available. We only spent 1 night there. There was an apology but no refund. Hotel will be losing a loyal customer.

GBBarking dogs in hotel room next to me… 3 separate hotel room guest contacted the front desk about room next to ours. The owners left two large barking dogs unattended for several hours. The dogs barked and clawed at the door relentlessly. The front desk clerk essentially blew us all off and did nothing to resolve the issue. Absolutely poor customer service and an unfortunate experience. I will never choose this hotel chain again. My husband and I normally stay at various best-western hotels 6-12 times per year. This experience changes everything about our relationship.

CASleepless in Montreal-Non-stop elevator sound day and night We stayed at the Best Western Montreal Hotel Europa in room 608 which was extremely noisy due to the elevators being right behind the wall. All day and night there was a loud humming sound. We complained the very first day and the person at the reception mentioned there were no other rooms available and they would apply a 10% discount for our stay there. We agreed and got some ear plugs. While checking out we saw that the 10% discount was only added to 1 days instead of 2 days. We we asked Phelris at the reception he was very rude and said he wont apply the discount to both days. We asked for the CAA discount which we forget to include while making the reservation and he said the discount is already part of the cost. We said we didnt provide the CAA information so how come it is part of the rate and he said that is how it is. What a rude person. We have stayed at Best Western in the past and this was a terrible and sleepless experience. Very upset about this whole stay.

GBBe Aware Smoking Fee Scam!!! Please people if you can, stay away from Best Western. Alot of smoking fee fraud happening and they will charge you for it days after you receive your final receipt. (With zero notification by them). You are forced to sign the smoking fee agreement otherwise you cannot stay there. I'm not a smoker nor do I smoke, and you get charged based on if the housekeeper or maid reports your room smelling like smoke which my room did not. Its hearsay with them and Best Western along with Best Western Corporate will NOT show you proof of their false accusations of a customer. BE AWARE please this place is a total SCAM.
