GBNever book a choice hotel chain Never book a choice hotel chain! Worst customer service, not helpful. None of their hotels have good reviews, all hotels are dirty and low quality. They don’t care about customers feed back or take complaints seriously.

GBDirty hotel, dreadful customer service from Choice Appalling conditions at Econo Lodge in Birmingham, AL (which has since closed) - dirty, roaches, holes in floor & walls, torn sheets, no ice, locked lobby. Outdated & misleading info on Choice hotel site. And even worse was the response from Choice corporate "customer care" office - they won't set or enforce minimum standards on hotels, don't care about misleading web info, and won't allow all paying customers to post reviews.

GBNot only are their hotels quite dismal, the staff is rude Not only are their hotels quite dismal, but the people who are employed by them are just downright nasty. I have stayed at this particular hotel several times since it is near a relative's home. I was asked to leave feedback and when I gave my honest opinion, I was told it wasn't up to their standards! Lol, well neither are their hotels. Be discerning folks and choose another brand. There are many hotels out there who will be glad to accommodate you, and TREAT you with RESPECT. I will pay more in the future to get respectful treatment.

TRThis company gave me false informations… This company gave me false informations , held crucial information from me, tried to charge me hidden fees when the representative didn't inform me. They try to get you to stay at a time share after booking and that was such a disaster for us, the whole experience for finding a hotel to stay at and then they wanted to charge a fee of ocer 200$ American dollars. I WOULD AVOID THEM AT ALL COST! Even their own reps say they are a scam after speaking to a receptionist at one of the hotels I stayed at. I wanted a recording of my conversations one manager said he will send it to my emaik and than when i called back to see why i havent recieved them anotber one stated they don't give out recordings.

GBNot a good 'Choice' hotels I stayed at a 'choice' hotel (Quality Inn Union City GA) for one night and when I got there they required a 100$ deposit so I paid it and was told it would be returned when checking out. At checkout again I was told it would be returned. A couple of days later it was still showing on my credit card so I called and was told it would take a few days for it to be returned. So this wasn't a hold, it was an actual charge; which out of all the hotels I have ever stayed at (which is a LOT) this was never done but I wasn't too concerned because I was told it would be returned. Unfortunately, I forgot to keep an eye on this and it was never returned as promised multiple times. I only realized this when I was doing my taxes. So I called and now they are saying there is a note about smoking and that's why it wasn't returned. I don't smoke and absolutely no one smoked in the room. After checking reviews for the hotel there are many people saying the hotel kept their 100$ deposit. I contacted Choice hotels and they refused to help at all because the hotels are 'franchised'. Do yourself a favor and stay at a reputable hotel company because there are lots of them and also be sure to check reviews before booking to save yourself from becoming a victim of unscrupulous dishonest hotel companies that do not provide any customer service or protection to customers. Funny enough when I called choice hotels I was transferred to Blue Green vacations for a special deal after the call. Well look at the reviews for Blue Green corp at consumeraffairs which is a timeshare company. 91% 1 star (out of 912 reviews) and the burst of 5 star reviews are comical because it's so obvious they appear completely fabricated. Many of these reviews mentioned being sent there by Choice hotels. So it appears that Choice hotels is not only dishonest (or allows their hotels to be) but they associate with or own other apparently dishonest companies as well. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. If you do stay and are charged a deposit, make sure you keep checking that it is returned because clearly they have no problem keeping your deposit even after they say it will be returned and Choice hotels will offer absolutely no help. Even if you realize they didn't return your deposit shortly after your stay you can probably expect a fight to try and get it back. I told them this reflects on the entire company and brands and they were not concerned about that either so if I can save some people from being taken advantage of by posting reviews then it's worth it. Maybe after enough word of mouth this company will start to care about the bad reviews, reputation, and losing customers. I suppose, like me, they hope you will forget to check and if you do figure it out later there will be some fabricated 'reason' to keep your deposit.
