CAAfter booking a flight After booking a flight, and receiving written confirmation documents, I got a call from Farebooth sayng that the confirmation is no longer valid. HOWEVER, he could book me on another flight, which would cost more. He said that since it was within the 24 hour cancellation time there should be no problem. He even said he would look after that. After 5 days, I still didn't see the refund and contacted him again. He said that it could up to 10-15 days to clear. So I waited, and waited. Contacted the agent again and he assured me that the request cancellation was put in. He suggested I contact Travelocity and my bank to iron this out. So I did, and they could not find any evidence of the cancellation. I did a check on the Farebooth web site and THEY still show this as active. BTW - The new ticket was not only higher price, but on the SAME PLANE.

PLScam Scam. They have other portals/names as well, such as topflightfares and faresfeed. In the best case, they will sell you a low priced ticket through one of their portals, then you will receive an email telling that your ticket is suspended and they are expecting you to call them. When you call, they will tell you the ticket is not available and will try to force you to buy the next avaiable ticket that they offer. I guess in this stage, they will charge an absurd amount of agency fees as they have your card details, but I never got there as the "agent" was talking very disrespectfully and she repelled me immediately. I asked them to cancel any ongoing service with me, and not to charge my card. They already can't, as I have to authorize each individual payment via application, but it will be interesting to see if they try or not. Stay away.

GBI purchased my tickets to Hawaii this… I purchased my tickets to Hawaii this summer for a December trip and needed to cancel and have not been able to get through to anyone to do this. All of their agents are busy 24/7 apparently- so clearly I have been ripped off. My confirmation code isn't even valid for the airline. What a terrible experience, DO NOT USE THIS SITE

CAI got scammed I highly advise you to avoid using this company. I was travelling from Sudbury to Toronto recently. My initial flight of $214 (Canadian) was cancelled. I tried to book a seat on the last Air Canada flight leaving Sudbury that night. I paid for a ticket using Farebooth which I thought was a Canadian site. The site mentioned one ticket left on the plane so I was rushing to buy it (when I took the flight there were multiple empty seats). The quoted seat price was $495 but after I consented to the charge via email, it turned out to be in US dollars. My credit card was charged $680 (Canadian) for the ticket as well as an additional $412 CND for the agent charge. So my cancelled flight of $214 cost me $1092. This is obviously a scam company that takes advantage of vulnerable passengers who are under pressure to book a seat not knowing what the final cost will be. Unfortunately, now I see that multiple other passengers have been scammed like me in the past. Also, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) is advising consumers to use extreme caution when considering doing business with Farebooth.

GBI got a call from you after I booked a… I got a call from you after I booked a flight during the conversation the lady said I need to replay with I agree after the getting the confirmation email. I got the email and said I responded back saying decline. Because I had to change the trip dates. I was charged for a departure flight and a separate charge for return flight. I was never given any tickets. I did get a email response back after I declined asking why and said she would call me right back and 3 hours later no call or email. I looked at the phone number on the email and get nothing. Never use this company total Scam.
