Beware....! Initial rates were OK, but be very careful if you're considering these guys. There was no notice at the end of my 4 month term at which time Sunwave automatically put me into a much higher rate plan and locked me in for 8 months. When I tried to move my service to a more reasonable provider they threatened to charge me a $50 early cancellation fee, even though I completed my originally agreed upon term and never agreed to the new term. When I called them to discuss they were unsympathetic, rude and stuck to the $50 charge. Looks like I just learned a $50 lesson. That lesson, "Don't use Sunwave Gas & Power...!"

I keep coming back to Sunwave I've shopped for power for the past 5-6 years. There are a lot of offers out there that report cheaper prices, but every time I examine them past the hype page I find the hidden up front costs and/or first time buyers time limit before the low price jumps to a higher price. Sunwave is always consistent with straight forward pricing. I still shop around... but I keep coming back to Sunwave. SN

They just walked away from our… They just walked away from our contracts. This is awful. We have to find new providers with a possible war with Russia. Run away these people fast and do not look back. Maybe someone from Sunwave can call me and we will not sue and go after the directors if there is fraud

End of term/renewal process communication is poor I got a letter in the mail saying that my 12 bill cycle contract was about to end and that I'd be contacted about upcoming pricing. I was never contacted so the first time I learn about the rate change is in my electric bill. Cost me $40 more just that month. So I jumped online to renew. I didn't feel like shopping, only to find out it would take another 2 weeks? Huh?? I'm already a customer, you can't just change my rates, effective immediately? If I called, it would probably be different, but I chose my avenue of communication and stuck with it. Also a warning about "billing cycles". When I first switched over, they did it 5 days before my regular billing cycle ended. Not sure why since one of the questions they ask is "When does your billing cycle end?". So those 5 days ended up being billing cycle #1 while the other 11 were full months. They obviously honored their contract but in a BS-y sorta way.

Poor service - stay way Their sales rep con you into long term rental agreements, then when you call and make a service appointment, they don't even bother to show up or call you back or anything. Poor service all around. Stay away from this company!!
