GBBeware of Sunrun's contract scam I scheduled a consultation with Sunrun as I was exploring installing solar panels. He came to my place with my colleague and the meeting went well until he told me the next step was to sign a paper so the Sunrun team could come to my place and measure the roof. He presented me with his iPad and told me all he needed was my signature on the page. I said I was uncomfortable signing a document I didn't read, and he pressured me to sign. I refused and asked to see the document instead. It turns out it was the purchase agreement for the solar system with a price of over $13k and he wanted me to sign it. I was very upset, ended the meeting, and escorted both sales guys out of my house. This was a very bad trick, and I'm sure some people would have signed the contract without knowing they were purchasing the system. Beware of Sunrun's misleading sales techniques

GBJust best to avoid this company Just best to avoid this company. It's a micro-managed assembly line outsourced sales nightmare. Anytime a company operates via "customer portal" with the exception of your medical care, don't walk, run. A design, engineering, construction and sales company can't operate like amazon! Breaking off human interaction and creating a web based robotic system to handle customers is ridicules. The entire industry needs to clean up its game. From false and misleading advertising, detrimental financial contracts, bogus promises to 3rd party outsourcing, solar has become a nightmare that 10's of thousands live every day! This company has done its share based on my review and thousands of others its only goal is to take your money and head down the road to the next victim.

GBKnowledgeable representative… The very knowledgeable rep who discussed Sunrun in detail made it easy to understand solar how it works and how it works in your home. She covered everything from contact to installation. I felt very informed and comfortable signing contracts. The workmanship was timely and professional. I am waiting for energy company to do final inspection and start up. I have had several question which were answered quickly because rep knows about state laws. I am totally satisfied, actually more than satisfied with Sunrun

GBRUN AWAY FROM SUN RUN! For those who are looking to get solars installed, PLEASE DO NOT HIRE SUN RUN! The entire company is a mess! They did not install the underlayment and the tiles back on properly which lead to a leak. The leak caused a lot of water damages to our home in various areas to the point where the bathroom ceiling collapsed! Thankfully no one was hurt. I had to pay out of pocket for an emergency tarp (which btw is not cheap!) because we could not get in contact with Sun Run to come out in a timely manner and repair the damages! This happened early February where we had all those ongoing heavy rainstorms. It's been almost 3 months and we still have not had any repairs done even when an inspector finally came out and had admit fault! We can barely get anyone to pick up our phone calls or even call us back when we leave them voicemails. We write emails to them daily and still barely any help except that "they are working on it and they are escalating the matter..." Our case has been shuffled back and forth between different Sunrun employees/case managers. They don't know what is going on or say the "case manager is out of the office and will return our phone calls," but obviously they do not call back! We have documentation and have photos as proof. We even hire a lawyer to write up a demand letter to fix the repairs and it was sent to their legal counsel, and yet NOTHING! I feel like I've exhausted so many avenues and nothing has been working. Extremely tired, frustrated and stressed on this ongoing matter. I want to make sure no one else has to go through the same situation as us! AVOID SUN RUN AT ALL COSTS!

GBCan't read "No Soliciting" signs Derek ignored THREE clearly posted "No Soliciting" signs on his way to ring my doorbell. I told him "No Soliciting" and he quickly played it off saying "I just wanted to let neighbors know we will be doing some work in the area." I said "Ok, I'm good with that." He commenced to try to sell me on Sunrun anyway. I told him that I have done my research on solar companies, and would like to own solar panels over renting, and I will be contacting the company of my choice when I decide to get solar panels. That company will not be Sunrun. My neighborhood also has a shared email list that we openly communicate through. I will be warning them about Sunrun, and hopefully they will be able to cancel their contracts.
