GBBeware of Sunrun's contract scam I scheduled a consultation with Sunrun as I was exploring installing solar panels. He came to my place with my colleague and the meeting went well until he told me the next step was to sign a paper so the Sunrun team could come to my place and measure the roof. He presented me with his iPad and told me all he needed was my signature on the page. I said I was uncomfortable signing a document I didn't read, and he pressured me to sign. I refused and asked to see the document instead. It turns out it was the purchase agreement for the solar system with a price of over $13k and he wanted me to sign it. I was very upset, ended the meeting, and escorted both sales guys out of my house. This was a very bad trick, and I'm sure some people would have signed the contract without knowing they were purchasing the system. Beware of Sunrun's misleading sales techniques

GBCan't read "No Soliciting" signs Derek ignored THREE clearly posted "No Soliciting" signs on his way to ring my doorbell. I told him "No Soliciting" and he quickly played it off saying "I just wanted to let neighbors know we will be doing some work in the area." I said "Ok, I'm good with that." He commenced to try to sell me on Sunrun anyway. I told him that I have done my research on solar companies, and would like to own solar panels over renting, and I will be contacting the company of my choice when I decide to get solar panels. That company will not be Sunrun. My neighborhood also has a shared email list that we openly communicate through. I will be warning them about Sunrun, and hopefully they will be able to cancel their contracts.

GBWhat What would you ask for from a solar company? Solar functionality is conceptually a great idea. Having great customer service is a great idea. Having affordable energy is a great idea. Unfortunately Sunrun can’t do any of these. I guarantee you you will never hear from your local case manager unless you live in a remote area, I would imagine. Solar technicians are a joke and I would say one out of 10 actually know what they are talking about or looking at. For six months I have been paying for Sunrun and my energy provider due to the system not being set up correctly. They agreed to process the refund but it has taken me months to get any sort of progress will be filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau, not that they really help.

GBHORRIBLE SERVICE HORRIBLE SERVICE! The elderly owner of a system from SunRun has moved into a care facility. His home is being sold and we want to know the process for transferring the solar system to the next owner, BEFORE we need it, please! Three emails and two voice messages have produced nothing from the "Service Transfer Coordinator," Valentina V. I'm fit to be tied. Google “SunRun, litigation" and see what pops up.

GBI'm appalled by your blatant disregard… I'm appalled by your blatant disregard for common courtesy in handling my case. Despite my persistent efforts to seek an update, I've been met with nothing but incompetence and evasion. Today's interaction with service company Freedom Forever LLC was also a new low, as I was informed that the account is still under the previous homeowner's name after a staggering two years of ownership change. Their ineptitude is staggering. Their audacious failure to put my account on hold is unacceptable. It's outrageous that I've been charged $134.85 today for a service that hasn't been rendered, considering my solar system has been dysfunctional. How can you justify charging me for non-existent services and when can I expect a full reimbursement for a faulty system?
