***SUNRUN IS THE WORST*** I signed up… ***SUNRUN IS THE WORST*** I signed up for solar through sunrun over two years ago. I was sold on a bunch of lies and misinformation that I won't even get into. I was paying $150 a month and my panels averaged $40 a month in power. I have spent the last year and a half dealing with sunrun and their absolutely awful customer service. I spent the first 6 months being told there is nothing wrong with my panels and that I signed up to receive this crappie service and there was nothing they could do about it a i signed the contract. Then I spent 6 months dealing with a rep in some kind of escalation department. That rep was trying however she would go over a month without returning calls or emails. Finally I got a supervisor who agreed to terminate my service, have the panels and equipment removed and return my roof to the same "general condition" it was in before the panels were installed. They told me everything would be done within 30 to 60 days. It took 30 days to even schedule anything. 60 days to get an appointment. Then on removal day no one showed up. 3 weeks later a team showed up and advised me that while the are taking large brackets out of my roof, they are not roofers and they aren't comfortable preforming these repairs. It was going to rain so I asked them to have a roofer come out another day. Then 3 weeks later another team shows up and asked when a roofer was coming out. This team as well did not have a roofer and they told me they could remove the brackets but they wouldn't like be able to do it without damaging the roof. All the time this is going on Shawn Badders my case manager is almost impossible to get ahold of and when I call no one will help me. Now I'm a year and a half into this battle and they are refusing to send a roofer to repair my roof. Sunrun has been extremely unprofessional. They have mislead and misinformed me through every step of this process. I am going to be reporting this to the better business bureau as well as seeking legal opinion as this has cost me 100s of hours of my time and I'm out a lot of money. DONT CHOSE SUNRUN FOR SOLAR. They are nothing but frauds. I'm sure there are much better solar companies pit there. Other people in my neighborhood have had these same problems and are fighting this same battle. Save yourself the time and find another solar company. Mary Powell serves as the CEO of sunrun. I hope she knows how awful their customers are treated

Will dox you to random strangers I have had almost no problems with the service, the setup and the sale rep were very up front about how long things take to get permitted in Hawaii and that I wasn't charged until the service was fully operational. That was all great. But then 2 years into having the system working flawlessly, I get this guy, Josh Robinson, contact me from Sunrun. Josh told me I needed a solar checkup and to send him my power bill. So I sent him a screenshot of my power bill and he sent me back a power bill of another customer as an example. This power bill was for someone on a different island and it was entirely unredacted. I could see the name, address, account number, payment methods, phone number, etc. All was there on this. I raised a concern to Josh and he blew me off, in fact he hung up on me when I got upset that he didn't think it was a big deal. So I called his boss and his boss downplayed it as well. These guys don't take your privacy seriously and will just randomly dox you to other customers!!!

Beware of Sunrun's contract scam I scheduled a consultation with Sunrun as I was exploring installing solar panels. He came to my place with my colleague and the meeting went well until he told me the next step was to sign a paper so the Sunrun team could come to my place and measure the roof. He presented me with his iPad and told me all he needed was my signature on the page. I said I was uncomfortable signing a document I didn't read, and he pressured me to sign. I refused and asked to see the document instead. It turns out it was the purchase agreement for the solar system with a price of over $13k and he wanted me to sign it. I was very upset, ended the meeting, and escorted both sales guys out of my house. This was a very bad trick, and I'm sure some people would have signed the contract without knowing they were purchasing the system. Beware of Sunrun's misleading sales techniques

Disconnected sewer pump-6 months later no solar connection Going on our sixth month of having panels on the roof, but still not connected/fully installed. When they put the panels on the roof, the electrical installers removed our electrical connection to our sump pump/ejector pump which caused a sewer back in the home. Cost me an additional $2000 for any emergency pump, for which Sun Run still hasn’t reimbursed. They had their team come out and reconnect electrical connection to pump, but that’s not really good enough. I would avoid using Sun Run if I had the option to do this again. The only reason I worked with them was due to their connection with Costco, which, from my experience, chooses good vendors to work with. I will not be surprised if Costco discontinues this relationship moving forward.

RUN AWAY FROM SUN RUN! For those who are looking to get solars installed, PLEASE DO NOT HIRE SUN RUN! The entire company is a mess! They did not install the underlayment and the tiles back on properly which lead to a leak. The leak caused a lot of water damages to our home in various areas to the point where the bathroom ceiling collapsed! Thankfully no one was hurt. I had to pay out of pocket for an emergency tarp (which btw is not cheap!) because we could not get in contact with Sun Run to come out in a timely manner and repair the damages! This happened early February where we had all those ongoing heavy rainstorms. It's been almost 3 months and we still have not had any repairs done even when an inspector finally came out and had admit fault! We can barely get anyone to pick up our phone calls or even call us back when we leave them voicemails. We write emails to them daily and still barely any help except that "they are working on it and they are escalating the matter..." Our case has been shuffled back and forth between different Sunrun employees/case managers. They don't know what is going on or say the "case manager is out of the office and will return our phone calls," but obviously they do not call back! We have documentation and have photos as proof. We even hire a lawyer to write up a demand letter to fix the repairs and it was sent to their legal counsel, and yet NOTHING! I feel like I've exhausted so many avenues and nothing has been working. Extremely tired, frustrated and stressed on this ongoing matter. I want to make sure no one else has to go through the same situation as us! AVOID SUN RUN AT ALL COSTS!
