GBPaychex flex is a horrible system Paychex flex is a horrible system. It is tied directly to the company and if you use it for 401K you will no longer have access to your money once you leave the company. Attempting to reach them is difficult. You can plan to be on the phone for 1-2 hours as they hang up on you, transfer you, or just have no idea how to help. Once you leave a company, your access is terminated immediately. They will repeatedly ask for your login information and then say you have no account making it even more difficult to access your money. It has been a month and I am still attempting to get my 401K rolled over with no hope in sight.

GBThis has to be the worst payroll… This has to be the worst payroll company in existence. Not only do they explain nothing when you set things up, they provide terrible customer service and guidance. They also did my taxes wrong and a received a bill from the IRS due to their incompetence. Do not recommend.

GBAs a former employee As a former employee, and someone who worked for a company that used Paychex at one time, I can explain why the service is so bad. I was a computer operator, which means I ran payroll and all related paperwork, ran the printers, folding machines, stuffed envelopes, printed quarterly tax documents which took all weekend, and ran special reports. It was a very fast paced environment. Operators also had to help the ladies who manually stuffed envelopes. Our equipment was very old and very overworked. We had breakdowns almost daily, which would back up printing and cause more delays. Upper management refused to give us new equipment. Starting pay was $11/hr during the financial crisis. Even my manager said the company doesn't pay close to what it should. I quit after 6 months. I've seen my exact same job again 7 and 10 years later. It went from $11 to $14 to $17. That's an insult. Underpaid, management flat out didn't care, old worn out equipment they refused to upgrade, all because corporate wanted more profit. How else is the CEO going to get his huge bonus and pay off his third house? My manager admitted he had a high turnover for all these reasons. Our internet time was heavily monitored. I understand we are not there to play around, but we are human and need a break sometimes. Instead we were expected to research the company, products, history, milestones, and where they are going. I made $11/hr, I don't care, I'm here to get paid. So these are some of the reasons you get bad service. Look at what they pay and how employees are treated. Would you put in full effort for low pay? Even to this day, the company pays below market rates. I'm very happy I don't work here anymore. Low pay, management only cares about money, not employees or customers.

GBThey will take all of your money and bankrupt your business. If you’re a small or a micro business, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I signed up at the recommendation of another business owner. Once they had me set up, the charges began. $9 here, $30 there, $120 here, $240 there, over and over, about ten times a month. I asked about these charges and was never given a clear explanation regarding what the charges were for. Once they have access to your bank account to do automatic deductions, they will take all of the money that you make until you’re wondering why you’re even in business at all since all of your profits are going to these ridiculous charges as well as multiple overdraft/returned item fees. Call to complain about this and you’ll either get passed from department to department or just straight hung up on. You’ll never get an explanation what any of these charges are for. Close your account with them and sever your relationship with them and the charges will STILL continue until you eventually have to close your bank account to get them to stop. DO NOT USE Paychex or you’ll end up working to pay them and your bank due to all of the overdraft/returned item fees that they cause instead of keeping any of the money that you earn for yourself.

GBThe worst of the worst: Paychex The worst of the worst. In fact, among any business I’ve ever dealt with they are the absolute worst. Customerservice is abominable… they don’t even do the service that you pay for and you have no way of not getting your money back. Even when I reached a manager, the service was abominable all I have is in random emails and I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN A RESPONSE FROM ANYONE. There are no phone numbers. You just get transferred to your rep’s voicemail. Example: on 3/31/24 I got an email saying I have a new customer rep. I emailed Back asking if we could set a time to talk or an appointment. NO reply whatsoever. On 4/2/24 I left a voicemail when transferred, and her outgoing message simply said she is out for the month of January.!?!? The entire culture of the organization is like that. I have no way of getting my money back and they did not provide ANY service. Beware.
