GBPaychex flex is a horrible system Paychex flex is a horrible system. It is tied directly to the company and if you use it for 401K you will no longer have access to your money once you leave the company. Attempting to reach them is difficult. You can plan to be on the phone for 1-2 hours as they hang up on you, transfer you, or just have no idea how to help. Once you leave a company, your access is terminated immediately. They will repeatedly ask for your login information and then say you have no account making it even more difficult to access your money. It has been a month and I am still attempting to get my 401K rolled over with no hope in sight.

GBSearch elsewhere first I would be wary of choosing this company for your payroll. Emails are not responded to, payroll specialists change frequently. They won't read emails fully and will make changes that you didn't ask for/weren't ready for. When you have a good specialist who isn't out of the office often, it's fine. But if you happen to do something on a day they're out, it's absolute CHAOS.

GBThey will take all of your money and bankrupt your business. If you’re a small or a micro business, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I signed up at the recommendation of another business owner. Once they had me set up, the charges began. $9 here, $30 there, $120 here, $240 there, over and over, about ten times a month. I asked about these charges and was never given a clear explanation regarding what the charges were for. Once they have access to your bank account to do automatic deductions, they will take all of the money that you make until you’re wondering why you’re even in business at all since all of your profits are going to these ridiculous charges as well as multiple overdraft/returned item fees. Call to complain about this and you’ll either get passed from department to department or just straight hung up on. You’ll never get an explanation what any of these charges are for. Close your account with them and sever your relationship with them and the charges will STILL continue until you eventually have to close your bank account to get them to stop. DO NOT USE Paychex or you’ll end up working to pay them and your bank due to all of the overdraft/returned item fees that they cause instead of keeping any of the money that you earn for yourself.

GBKeep shopping / Its not worth the brain damage We hired Paychex to take over / streamline our small business payroll/HR, etc...and its been a comedy of errors for the past 2 years. Its a series of talking to 4 different people who cant fix or cant understand the variety of technical support issues and if they dont have an answer....they just leave you on hold for 15 min and eventually hang up. The service / platform just isnt very good ....some people try but they dont have the capabilities to correct anything quickly. The other issue employees complain about is the UNGODLY amount of verification codes they have to get thru before they can access their portal/employee dashboard. We understand security but Paychex isnt cutting edge or efficient tech--- their service/platform is EXACTLY what companies fear when they make a big tech change. IT'S STILL PAINFUL.

GBVery poor communication from management , incompetent workers, Very poor communication, did not fix payroll issues when brought to their attention. Unresponsive service from management, phone calls and emails left unanswered from management and onboarding when requesting a new payroll administrator. My employee had to wait more than 12 days past payday to receive their check due to incompetence and poor communication on their part.
