Pricing through Expedia reservation did… Pricing through Expedia reservation did not mention insurance required in Costa Rica. I bought the $11/day insurance from Expedia - which I hope to get refunded - that was not adequate. $1/day rental turned into $35/day plus a $500 hold on my credit card released upon returning the car.

Everything went fine in the process of… Everything went fine in the process of getting a rental car, the paperwork is not great in signing, but at the end everything worked out.

The individuals who checked me in and… The individuals who checked me in and out were very professional and kind. The automobile ran fine and provided amenities that helped combat the cold. The passenger side bump, where the feet are, was very uncomfortable. It caused my wife to contort her body which gave her some pains in her hips and back. It has been over 3 days and I haven’t received the money withheld when I rented the car.

Never again. We paid the total cost of the car rental per our Expedia price summary, but before we could get possession of our rental car or the keys, we had to pay another $270.22 to Rent A Wreck at the parking lot. The pick-up at the airport after our arrival was a disaster. We were told to walk out to the Taxi area but not what to look for. After calling Rent A Wreck they said just look for ABC. Every bus in the airport has ABC. We got on an ABC bus but after speaking to the driver realized it was not the ABC shuttle to ABC Parking. Eventually, we were picked up by the shuttle and driven to ABC Parking where they told us we had to pay $270.22 more. We returned the car two days early and did not receive a rebate.

Cockroaches on the dashboard First car rental we had a Kia Rio that could barely drive straight. My girlfriend and I came to the surprise of little critters(cockroaches) crawling all over the dash and middle glove compartments. We spent over two hours spending our first night in Puerto Rico trying to get a car swap. Come to find out the couple in front of us also came for that same reason not once but twice during the day. Never in my life have I seen something like that ever. Something needs to be done. Wasted the day before my birthday trying to get a new rental, while it also coming out to a way higher cost than it should've. The only positives were the workers being patient and understanding, but we still wasted a whole day of our trip. Wish we could’ve at the very least got part of the rental cost off.
